Thanks for the profile.
I need some help from Army vets or active duty now.
Isn't Airborne a volunteer choice?
2001 - Jeremy and Nga are married - Why would a married man volunteer for the army at the rank of a Private? How could he and his wife afford for him to be a Private in the Army?
Does the Army allow a new enlistee to be married?
Yep contrary to getting a job at Uncle Bobs Hardware everyone starts at the bottom in the Army Dave...E-1........:o)
Yes you can enlist if your married, or could when I retired. I don't understand how this guy after 3 years of service is still a private E-1 slick sleeve if he was such a good troop.........:o)
I smell Allah FUBAR !!

I pointed out his remarkable promotion rate when this first appeared this week.

I wonder if Allah Fubar has "ministers" at the Quaker meetings these days?
Yes, and Yes.
Airborne is volunteer, you get it put in your contract by your recruiter, or you earn it in Basic or later in your career. This does NOT mean you will be assigned to a Airborne unit, that it decided by Needs of the Army.
You can enlist in the Army as an E-1 Private even if your married and have kids. Its quite possibly one of the stupidest things to do, and quite a few people do it.
Thanks for your answers.
