What nonsense. If a murder were committed and the mother heard the conversation and didn't report it to police she'd be an accessory after the fact. Lately it seems that maybe Washington has been getting a little more like California.

It's 1984 in Washington. A little late, but still happening.

I remember when I was 13 saying something stupid to my mother and then slamming the door. I cant remember what it was about, and it was irrelevant either way. Anyway, my dad scared the crap out of me when the entire door literally shot across my room.

I knew a kid in jr high school who did something similar, and told his parents that it was "his room, and he wanted them out of it, and would lock them out!"

The next day, he no longer had a bedroom door, and a note was on his bed saying that he would have to remember that he was a guest living in his parents house, and if he didn't want to live under their rules, he could find someplace elese to live, along with the classified section from the newspaper (the rental section).

Does this mean mom's can't read their daughter's diaries? That is an age old thing women talk about,,to snoop or not. Can we snoop on our hubbies? Can we, and this is the important part, steal their pocket change for the piggy bank that we periodically cash in for something cool, like special stuff at the grocery? Will the hubbies press charges?

Like police, parents are expected to go to a judge saying, "I have reason to suspect that my child is involved in a crime and therefore I need a legal phone tap...." ??????????????????

Does this mean mom's can't read their daughter's diaries?

Probably not! Especially if it's one of those diaries with the little lock on it... You know, the one you can pick with a hair pin?

That is an age old thing women talk about,,to snoop or not.

I think it's a genetic thing, ingrained into the species... The female will alway (try to) snoop on the male.

Can we snoop on our hubbies?

No, and that's final!

Can we, and this is the important part, steal their pocket change for the piggy bank that we periodically cash in for something cool, like special stuff at the grocery?

Only if it's for something really cool that you can not get at the grocery store, like a fishing boat or a set of golf clubs.

Will the hubbies press charges?

Not if you get him either of the above!

Okay, what about eavesdropping in other what. For example, listening from the closet and the teens are in a room, etc.... Is this the same issue?

Haha

I have been forging my husband's name for years, for so long that the bank doesn't recognize his writing. I endorse and deposit all his check, sign the tax forms, even forged it on a bid on a house. I would have signed it at the closing but they demanded he be there. The bank really gets flummoxed when he signs something. I understand from a lawyer that if there is no intent to defraud I am not breaking the law.

This is so ridiculous. Parents have the rights; not the children. This is definately a case where the parents not only have the right to know; but the need to know.

I remember spending the night with my grandparents. My grandmother always listened in on my phone conversations. It took me a while to figure out how she always knew what I was up to. It made me mad; but she loved me and didn't want me to get hurt. Especially the times I wanted to sneak out at night.

Here is where I found it myself. There is also a link to this document, which should futher raise the hair on the back of your neck: (I don't necessarily agree with all of it, but it's thought-provoking)

Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto

[Source: http://www.mediabypass.com]

This link may be discontinued. Use your discretion. The thoughts, in italics, are mind-awakening.

In the early '60's during the days of the "former" Soviet Union, Russian Premier Nikita Kruschev pounded his shoe on the podium of the United Nations and shouted to the West, "We will bury you!" Fearing an invasion from the Reds, America proceeded to build the most awesome military machine in history. Unfortunately, we forgot to guard our political homefront from being taken over by socialist - communist - liberal activists who would gain office and destroy American law by process of gradually installing the Communist agenda within our legal system and seperate branches of government. The Communist program from the start has been one which sees their revolution of 1917 succesful only upon total domination of the world. (See Brain Washing, A Synthesis of the Russian Textbook on Psychopolitics)

Americans, being the most naive people among the nations, now believe that Communism is dead because the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain have been removed. The ironic truth is that Communism has just switched names to become more "politically correct". Today it is called international democracy. The reason that the Berlin Wall came crashing down is not because Communism is dead but because they have achieved the planned agenda to communize the West, including America. Washington D.C. has indeed become part of the New World Order of atheist governments. With the last vestiges of Christian law having been removed from "American government" over the last twenty years, there is no longer a threat of resistance against world Communism. In reality, "American government" became part of the Iron Curtain, thus there was no more need for the likes of a Berlin Wall.

Once again, in their foolishness, the American public has believed the lies of their "leaders" who applaud "the fall of Communism", while they have sold out the country to anti-Christian, anti-American statutes and regulations on the federal, state, and local levels. Posted below is a comparison of the original ten planks of the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx in 1848, along with the American adopted counterpart of each of the planks, The American people have truly been "buried in Communism" by their own politicians of both the Republican and Democratic parties. One other thing to remember, Karl Marx was stating in the Communist Manifesto that these planks will test whether a country has become commmunist or not. If they are all in effect and in force the country IS communist. Communism, but by any other name...??

1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rent to public purpose.

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (1868), and various zoning, school & property taxes. Also the Bureau of Land Management.

2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.

Misapplication of the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913, The Social Security Act of 1936.; Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933; and various State "income" taxes. We call it "paying your fair share".

3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

We call it Federal & State estate Tax (1916); or reformed Probate Laws, and limited inheritance via arbitrary inheritance tax statutes.

4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.

We call in government seizures, tax liens, Public "law" 99-570 (1986);

Executive order 11490, sections 1205, 2002 which gives private land to the Department of Urban Development; the imprisonment of "terrorists" and those who speak out or write against the "government" (1997 Crime/Terrorist Bill); or the IRS confiscation of property without due process.

5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

We call it the Federal Reserve which is a credit/debt system nationally organized by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the State.

We call it the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated through the ICC act of 1887, the Commissions Act of 1934, The Interstate Commerce Commission established in 1938, The Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Communications Commission, and Executive orders 11490, 10999, as well as State mandated driver's licenses and Department of Transportation regulations.

7. Extention of factories and instruments of production owned by the State, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.

We call it corporate capacity, The Desert Entry Act and The Department of Agriculture. As well as the Department of Commerce and Labor, Department of Interior, the Evironmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Mines, National Park Service, and the IRS control of business through corporate regulations.

8. Equal liablity of all to labor. Establishment of Industrial armies, especially for agriculture.

We call it the Social Security Administration and The Department of Labor. The National debt and inflation caused by the communal bank has caused the need for a two "income" family. Woman in the workplace since the 1920's, the 19th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, assorted Socialist Unions, affirmative action, the Fedral Public Works Program and of course Executive order 11000.

9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.

We call it the Planning Reorganization act of 1949 , zoning (Title 17 1910-1990) and Super Corporate Farms, as well as Executive orders 11647, 11731 (ten regions) and Public "law" 89-136.

10. Free education for all children in government schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc. etc.

People are being taxed to support what we call 'public' schools, which train the young to work for the communal debt system. We also call it the Department of Education, the NEA and Outcome Based "Education" .

So I ask you...does changing the words, change the end result? By using different words is it all of a sudden OK????? We are so "smart," aren't we??

The B4 policy worked pretty good. My girls knew that their rooms were not their private property and they had to be kept clean. They knew that their telephones were being paid by me, as was the TV and PC's. Selected chores, the dogs, tack and horses, fence repairs, salt blocks, bathrooms, vacuuming, dishes and of course, keeping the vehicles washed (that wasn't one of their favorites) were their responsibility and there was a price to be paid if they were not done on schedule. More than once they would find themselves tightening a string of fence line just because I didn't think they were helping Mom enough during the week.

Today, their best friend is Mom and they are continually calling to make sure I'm taking good care of her. Hummph! To think I would cut my own throat. Dad's old and crazy, not stupid.

I get jokes and cute stories almost daily in my email from them, so maybe they do enjoy teasing me. Calls offering to take us to lunch are too frequent for my taste.

Yup, I guess we did a pretty good job of raising the girls.

It should be a must read for our Congressional Reps and those Sinators who brag about what they haven't done for America!

...the next Columbine massacre...

I'm still convinced that the best solution to those kinds of situations would be to license and thoroughly train good, responsible teachers for concealed carry and make sure they're armed at school. Since there are those who would attack and kill in schools, there need to be those who will defend the innocent in schools.

Eric Harris? BLAM! Dylan Klebold? BLAM! Problem solved. Innocent lives saved.

I would swear in court that my girls wrote this:*

I Had a Drug Problem When I was a Youngster....

I was drug to church on Sunday morning.

I was drug to church for weddings and funerals.

I was drug to family reunions no matter the weather.

I was drug to the bus stop to go to school every weekday.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults and teachers..

I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents.

Those drugs are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin, and if today's children had this kind of drug problem, North America might be a better place.
