But it simply doesn't matter any more in America what the people want. The people want real immigration policy. They want real immigration enforcement. They want real borders. They want citizenship to mean something again.
However, the brown shirts of the bench have other ideas. They don't think Americans are smart enough to know what's really good for them. So they use the courts to stifle the will of the people and pervert the law of the land. Now the laws are written not by citizen-legislators, but by high priests in black robes who have little or no accountability to the people.

One could almost believe this....except voters don't choose candidates who reflect this sentiment. It is not healthy to deny that the voters have the ultimate responsibility in a democratic republic.
Blaming the victims?
What does it take to recall David Bury? or is impeach the optive word?
Please specify who you think the victims are, and who is doing the blaming.

There is an adage that supposes people get the government they deserve.
According to a statement that Newt Gingrich made on the O'Reilly factor, the courts populated with judges who do not judge but legislate from the bench can be abolished.
The people in Arizona should abolish those courts that harm our liberty and our ability for self government. Look into the abolishment procedures for your state, and get back to us. I am sure you'll get a lot of help.

The people are only allowed to have certain wills. This ain't one of 'em. ;)
This would be a valid counterpoint if there was a fair & open debate on the subject.
But there isn't. Our borders policy is set in dimly lit, smokey backrooms. Any objections are met with a fusillade of insults.

Let me see if I understand correctly. The gov't border/immigration policy does not reflect what the voters want, yet we need an open debate on the subject so that voters will be able to decide what policy they want. You can't have it both ways, so which do you pick?
I like Newt and missed his comment since I don't watch O'Reilly much anymore.
I wish it were possible to abolish courts. I would like to abolish them here in Mass. but am stuck with libs and rinos in power.
My posting of the Arizona immigration issue is in sympathy. I know the lasting impact that these goose-stepping judges can have.
The voters voted on a state initiative that had to do with who gets the privilege of receiving taxpayer funded services. A federal judge immediately puts it on hold before it can become law. You need to give me your definition of responsibility in order for it to be clear in my mind.

Bob Schiffer himself said he received more emails regarding our border policy than ANY other issue prior to the debate he moderated. I seriously doubt many of those emails were in support if the current one.
In the words of Pappy O'Daniel, 'opportunity knocked', but neither Bush nor Kerry answered. Why not?
