Air Force's Top Lawyer May Face Charges
Washington Post ^ | Dec 8, 2004 | Thomas E. Ricks

A military investigation has concluded that the Air Force's top lawyer engaged in improper relationships with more than a dozen women over the last decade, two Defense Department officials familiar with the findings said.

While overseeing the work of 3,200 people, Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Fiscus, the Air Force judge advocate general, allegedly conducted affairs with enlisted women, officers and civilian employees in violation of military rules against fraternization, the officials said.

Fiscus's pattern of behavior, one official said, was to seek to develop a relationship, but to back off quickly if his advances were rejected. Thus the few incidents that do not involve consensual behavior tend to be minor, one-time instances of inappropriate touching, such as a kiss given on the lips when a cheek was offered in greeting, the official said.

If guilty, he sounds like a good candidate for a dishonorable discharge and no benefits whatsoever. "He should have known better" is an understatement for his rank and position. Buh-bye!

Have you been to KKMC - KMC? This is very Clintonistic, only noone gets away with it in the military. Fry the bastard - he knows how to read the code he beats the enlisteds with. Leavenworth is too good. No retirement, either.

How come the same people who are trying to blow this out of proportion are the very same, who were making excuses when the Commander-in-Chief, Bill Clinton engaged in much worse conduct?

You don't understand. The military is a closed system with both civilian and military rules to be followed. This is not the equivalent of Clinton. It's the equivalent of Butch "janet" Reno doing it not for 8 years but for a decade. That probably means all after he was congressionally appointed as a General under the 'Toon's watch. He must have been alive during Tailhook. That should have been enough to scare most adults. He thinks he is above the law becvaue he enforces it.

Agreed.

The one thing that really stuck in my craw during my active duty days as a Naval officer is that the JAG Corps types gave professional courtesy waivers in cases of violations of military law by other JAGs.

What he did may have been techincally inappropriate, but he didn't force himself on anyone.

I think THIS is far more serious:

Air Force Academy Implicated in Sex Abuse

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon's inspector general says a series of commanders at the Air Force Academy failed to recognize and deal with reports of sexual assaults against female cadets on campus, officials said Tuesday

Apparently you do not know how many USAF Generals have been summarily "retired" for the same acts of adultery. During the mid 90's - I know of 3 Generals that I worked for that this happened to. This person is an adult, a lawyer, a commissioned officer (Probably a ringknocker/Academy Grad), lead prosecutor for the USAF. There is no excuse, especially for a person in his position. So you say it's ok to go screw anyone's wife as long as you ask permission first?
This guy made general prosecuting adultery. WTF happened to lead by example?
The rump rangers - homos - have the same behavioral trait as this general. Make advances and if you're rejected back off.
They should find someone who he did cunnilingus with or got a blow job from and convict his ass of sodomy. I'm sure he has prosecuted some married GI's for the same.

12/22/2004 - RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas | (AFPN) - General Fiscus received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for conduct unbecoming an officer, fraternization, obstruction of justice and violating a lawful general regulation. As a result of these offenses, General Fiscus was reprimanded and given forfeitures of pay. In addition, General Cook recommended to Air Force Secretary Dr. James G. Roche that General Fiscus retire in a grade lower than major general. .
