"That means there'll be twice as many agents as there are now with their hands tied and restricted from doing their jobs."
There isn't enough parking space at the San Onofre check point to park double the number of patrol cars.
You never see more than 4 or 5 working so the majority must be having coffee and entertainment!
Put them to work nailing employers and the illegals that work for them and they wouldn't need those highway check points.

It wouldn't be that hard, just bring the cases in areas were a lot of factories were moved to Mexico. Bet you could get some convictions in those locations. It was tried. It was also tried in California after Proposition 187 passed. Neither effort succeeded.

"How do you get juries to convict?"
Juries are made up of people. 85% of the public wants those provisions and more, Poohbah. They'd convict.

If the rest of us get as noisy as they are they won't even be heard, they are such a small minority.
Seems to me that they should be investigated for illegals first.

Actually, yes, I do feel safer. Because a sleeping giant has finally realized we have a problem. And that is the American public, even if the Senate and white house sell outs can't admit it. The spin won't cut it any longer.

(How many of the 12 million (estimate) illegals from mexico border have been involved in terrorist acts in the United States? None yet!)
I don't care why they're here.If someone breaks into your home is it ok if they're just there to vacume and dust?

End of story.

The bill also proposes 4,000 more beds by 2010 for detaining immigrants, up from about 21,000. ...2010!!??
What are we building to house these people, Hilton Hotels?
How long does it take to erect some tent cities behind double barbed wire and lay down a hundred thousand or so $20 cots, and have a common chow halls and a few large sexually segregated latrines - like the places our own military sleeps in Iraq and Afghanistan?
C'mon people. We have the technology and plenty of empty Federal land. The only thing between us and doing it is the will. Money is no object. Just use some of the endless funds we pour into endless welfare sink holes for these same alien invaders. They won't need to draw the same money down at the welfare office if they're sitting in Tent City!

Has any group of people before in history figured out how to get paid for breaking in to someone else's property? Imagine how much they despise us, and especially our President!
But. . . it's all part of King Karl's plan . . .
