Every new agent should be used to go after employers.

If we can get all social services to them cut off and there aren't any employers to hire them they will go back to where they came from and the border will close itself as far as illegal immigration is concerned and the border enforcment will return to catching smugglers.

Sorry more like "force" the local law to enforce the laws - most major cities - such as Houston, not only just look the other way, but the actually set of designated waiting sites with facilities to encourage illegal day laborers to congregate for the benefit of local contractors

There was a concerted effort to bring those cases before juries back in 1986, and again in 1994-95.

There have been two major attempts to do so, in 1986 and in 1994-95. In each case, juries were handed open-and-shut cases that demonstrated mens rea (which is extremely HARD to do in these cases), and they refused to pull the trigger.

I think initial conflicts will start on a few ranches in the Southwest where private property owners begin to protect their land. A few shootouts should break the ice. But where or who the govt. will come down on is anyone's guess. Once a private land owner, a citizen of the U.S. decides to protect or secure his private land who is wrong and whom is right?Who gets prosecuted?

You've swerved--by accident--into the issue.

Hiring illegal aliens is illegal. It isn't viewed, for the most part, as a crime.

Think of Prohibition. The Volstead Act was one of the most unenforced laws in US history--despite enormous resources getting spent on enforcing it. Production and importation of spirits was illegal. The citizenry of the United States didn't view possession or sale of spirits as a crime.
