Newsflash: Roads solely exist for cars - their created purpose is to provide a means of vehicular transportation. By what definition of "road" would a car not "own" it?

just curious...

You are right...roads are for cars (and my motorcycle). However, the US is sorely lacking in facilities for walkers, hikers, bikers, etc.

Not that I think Euros are smarter, they do provide better for their non-motorized masses.

Perhaps more people walk, take subways/trains/buses and ride bikes because their gas is so $$$.

My advice to friends/family visiting the US....drive, don't walk.
