"Disappointed" = How in the world did you find out?
"Surprised" = How do you dare ask me to comment, don't you know who I am?

Like father, like son. Kofi has a convenient memory, like shrillary's. He can't recall or to the best of his knowledge he was unaware. Kofi hates America and that dump the UN should be bulldozed into the river.
To: derheimwill
Maybe Kofi is going to give him a (time-out)?
To: Aussie Dasher
No surpise really. What I would be really surprised about is if Kofi truly "didn't" know, or wasn't getting a piece of the action.

Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Monday he was "very disappointed and surprised" that his son had continued to receive payments until this February from a firm that had a contract with Iraq's oil-for-food program, the subject of numerous corruption investigations.
Yes, He told him to make his money quickly and then get out.

Do we have to let the crooks out before we burn the UN?

Actually, I question the timing of this -- this was certainly known before the election, but the MSM waits until now to report it.
To: Aussie Dasher
The only surprise and disappointment is that his son was caught and exposed.

Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Monday he was "very disappointed and surprised" that his son had continued to receive payments until this February from a firm that had a contract with Iraq's oil-for-food program, the subject of numerous corruption investigations. Kofi's unedited thoughts: "Stupid boy! The checks stopped in February? If it was me, the checks would STILL be coming in!"

It should be noted that Kojo Annans full-time employment by Cotecna as a graduate trainee and later as an Assistant Liaison Officer in Lagos, Nigeria, ended well before the selection of Cotecna for the UN mission; Mr. Annans full-time employment began in December 1995 and ended in December 1997, after which Kojo Annan was retained as a consultant until the end of 1998.
Above is a quote from Cotecna's website. If Kojo's employment ended in 1998, why was he still paid until now?
