What everyone thinks but is afraid to say - "We need an NBA that looks more like America".
Every argument the left makes for affirmative action could be applied to professional sports. Surely athletic ability is distributed equally among all ethnic groups. So if an ethnic group is not proportionally represented in a particular sport it must be caused by defacto institutional racism. It is not necessary to prove particular instances of racism. The end result is proof that it exists. We need outreach and special development programs for under-represented groups.
Finally, shouldn't Title IX apply to races as well as gender in school athletics? Shouldn't sports teams in high schools and colleges represent the student body in all respects?

Years ago I watched in dismay as my children became awe struck at wrestling on TV. They outgrew it.
I fought against the likes of Lawrence Taylor (NYG linebacker) because he was a druggie and influencing my children.
I won many of those battles, but not because of anything I said. It was because they were lucky and matured to the point of understanding.
Many of us are not so lucky.

Hmmm three responses by me in 16 post's. That is a record for me. There is no difference between your statements and the debate that the NAACP puts forth to demand that blacks be given the job over a white christian who is more qualified.
