For the freedom you enjoyed yesterday...
Thank the Veterans who served in
The United States Armed Forces.
Good morning Troops! A Blessed Thanksgiving Day to You!
On this day, we say, to our troops, Thank You, to our Veterans, Thank You, to our Military families, Thank You, to all who serve our nation, Thank You.
Thank You for your sacrifice to keep our nation free.
Some tables will be filled today, of loved ones and of friends. Kin folk and kindred spirits embrace and lend a happy sound to resound the land around. And the children's laughter pealing, adding to the glee of loving life and liberty.
Some tables will not be filled with loving family. The missing members, a Sailor, a Marine, a Soldier, a Pilot, a Coast Guard, may not be on the scene. They are off in lands covered in sand, or hilly mountains, or in oceans grand. Toting guns for freedom's call, helping another human get over a wall. Holding a child or building a school, showing by doing the Golden Rule. For this ultimate sacrifice we say, Thank You Troops this is your day!
Thanks Tomkow!

They are awesome little dogs, and fearless!!
They were bred for herding..
My brother had one too..
and his Corgi always shredded the legs of my brothers jogging pants when they went running together!

Beautiful, beautiful Corgi kids! Makes my heart sing and my eyes water. If the one you met had a tail, it was a Cardigan, like the Corgis I had. I remember meeting my first one, walking in a park in Vancouver B.C. whilst vacationing there. I went back to Chicago, got all the dog magazines, and found an excellent breeder in Virgina who shipped me my first Corgi boy a few months later. I'm telling you, it was love at first sight. Best dog I ever had. Named him Joe because he was such a smart, sturdy "regular guy."
I have an aging Keeshond girl now, also the best dog I ever had. LOL

U.S. soldiers have their Thanksgiving meal at a dining facility in the U.S. military base of Camp Victory in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, November 25, 2004. Sorry about that, Chief: Dylan Gano's medium-sized head is a little too big for a small-sized headdress at the school Pilgrim-Indian feast in Marlowe, W.Va.

THE PRAYING HANDS
The "Praying Hands" are much, much more
than just a work of art,
They are the "soul's creations"
of a deeply thankful heart.
They are a Priceless Masterpiece
that love alone could paint,
And they reveal the selflessness
of an unheralded saint
These hands so scarred and toilworn,
tell the story of a man
Who sacrificed his talent
in accordance with God's Plan
For in God's Plan are many things
man cannot understand,
But we must trust God's judgement
and be guided by His Hand -
Sometime He asks us to give up
our dreams of happiness,
Sometimes we must forego our hopes
of fortune and success -
Not all of us can triumph
or rise to heights of fame,
And many times What Should Be Ours,
goes to another Name -
But he who makes a sacrifice,
so another may succeed,
Is indeed a true disciple
of our blessed Saviour's creed -
For when we "give ourselves away"
in sacrifice and love,
We are "laying up rich treasures"
in God's kingdom up above -
And hidden in gnarled, toilworn hands
in the truest Art of Living,
Achieved alone by those who've learned
the "Victory of Giving"
For any sacrifice on earth,
made in the dear Lord's name
Assures the giver of a place
in Heaven's Hall of Fame.
And who can say with certainty
Where the Greatest Talent Lies,
Or Who Will Be the Greatest
In Our Heavenly Father's Eyes!

Joe was a regular guy? Not hyperactive like some herding dogs? That walk in the park must have really impressed you.
Did your Keeshond enjoy some turkey today?

Cardigans have tails...
Pembrokes, don't! Aha! That's natural? Like I said before I only met one momentarily and just this moment realized it was a Cardigan.
Did they have different jobs?
