Taking Charge |
-- Abandoning the other three, Bush walked over to the agents, reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum. |
"All of us journalists agree that President Bush looked like a cowboy. It was total breach of protocol. I've seen a lot of John Wayne movies, and President Bush was definitely acting like a cowboy."
A Picture is Worth... (Bush picture in Chile)
No Bush! Mr. Terrorista!
Why Bush Has No Fear [Krauthammer]
Bush scuffles with Chilean guards at summit I know this story has been reported here, but I thought I'd post this U.K. version of events. It has a few details (exerpted above) that I haven't seen elsewhere.
A good, concise video link is at http://www.foxreno.com/news/3937064/detail.html#
...just click the link under the photo. (It's a pop-up video window-- disable any pop-up protector first.) A brief ad plays, then boom: you're in the action.
"He looked better that Presidential....He looked Texan!"
Washington Times gave a much more informative report than the standard AP story being run by everyone else.
The start of it all:
" Bush walked over to the agents, reached through the dispute and pulled his agent from the scrum."
This is my favorite part. He left the President of Chile to go help his Secret Service agent. That's a real man for you.

You may "borrow" whatever you like. I literally have 100's of them that I have collected from the 'net.
They are very addictive!

Thank you, Backhoe. This is a link I didn't want to miss.
I know you have a "honey do" list. Tell your wife, you're taking one for the team - the FR team. LOL
Remember, EVERTHING she has cooked for Thanksgiving dinner is GREAT. That's what my hubby told me tonight. Made me feel good. He gets it. LOL

File is avi format, so it should play in most common players.
Right click on the link and 'save target as...' to save to your hard drive. File is about 950k.

Thanks for looking.
Well, around here, I am the cook, but this year my mother-in-law wants to fix dinner for everyone at her house, so I'm off the hook this time around.
Your husband sounds like a wise man- I've been married twice, and one thing I learned was "if you want to keep peace in the family, make sure the women are happy."
