'It makes no sense'-As sixth hunter dies, sheriff offers details ...

HAYWARD, Wis. — The scene is as old as humanity itself: A hunter stakes out territory, only to find it claimed by another. Modern deer hunters usually resolve the matter amicably.

But deep in a thick Wisconsin forest on Sunday, for reasons authorities still can't fathom, a St. Paul man who was asked to leave another hunter's deer stand began to do so and then turned and opened fire on one of the landowners and his fellow hunters, killing six and wounding two, authorities said. The suspect had apparently gotten lost earlier that morning and wound up on the private property.

BS.

The perp was on PRIVATE PROPERTY.

This goes along with the mindset that you are not allowed to defend yourself against home invaders, as is the case in Merry Old England.

Defend yourself in England, and you go to jail and the perp owns your stuff.

opened fire on one of the landowners and his fellow hunters,

Shooter was trespassing and was not part of the victims hunting group.

usually just ending up on private property doesn't escalate to shooting the he!! outta 8 people. i'm thinking the guy might've been drunk.

I bet if you check into this guys history, he was a time bomb waiting to go off. However, the press will always report that he was a "fine upstanding" person, especially since he is a minority.

Apparently not.

And, despite the fact he is a Laotian immigrant, the authorities say he speaks fluent English.

He was neither impaired or confused - he shot those people in cold blood.

They haven't mentioned that he was drunk, yet, or anything that might make it make sense. After he killed all those people, he just walked off and hitched a ride with another hunter ("I'm lost") who had heard about him already, and took him to the warden. hahah.

Peep the whole article. The writer says that when the man was apprehended, he had an SKS that "carried a 20 round clip". My SKS "carries" a 10-round clip for as long as it takes to push the rounds into the MAGAZINE.

Anyway, the dude had an after-market mod- super easy to replace the 10 with a 20+ mag,

But why would you hunt with it?

Minneapolis police said they arrested Vang on Christmas Eve 2001 after he waved a gun and threatened to kill his wife. No charge was brought because she didn't cooperate with authorities, spokesman Ron Reier said. Police in St. Paul said there had been two domestic violence calls to his home in the past year, but both were resolved without incident.

He is also a former soldier and had a *gasp* assault rifle when he was apprehended (SKS w/magazine mod).

Had he been driving an SUV, it would've been a trifecta.

No, he was an ethnic minority (Hmong tribesman from Laos imported by the thousands to collect welfare)

Nope, actually here as refugees after being trained by the US to fight communists in Laos during the Vietnam war. They fought bravely and then were left in a lurch when the lefties here forced us to cut and run.

They were subsequently persecuted by the Vietnamese puppet government in Laos and came here as refugees. They haven't been assimilated very well at all, retaining a separate ethnic identity in tight knit communities. Would you prefer that we left them to die in Laos after we were finished using them?

Irrespective of these details, this particular guy needs to be turned into fertilizer as soon as possible.

Californians might as well start kissing their SKS's goodbye. I feel a landmark gun confiscation coming on.

The local press is reporting that there have been a number of domestic calls involving him, but that none lead to charges, and that he had an incident where he was significantly over the legal limit for crappies a couple of years ago.

Even if he were drunk, it would still be "in cold blood" imo. I'm thinking the media are covering up something here to try and find a legitimate (in liberal terms) for this. and it looks like they found it:

these Laotian "tribesmen" are natural hunters who didn't feel fully integrated into the American way of life (boohoo) but were widely influenced by the violence in American movies/sports/culture."

I stopped in a gas station / mini-mart in the morning and encountered two pickups with about 7 camoflaged guys in each on icing up coolers full of beer and passing around a pint of Jack Daniels. I stayed away from rural areas from then on...

I saw almost the exact same thing while working near Athens, OH, several years ago.....
