Corrupted Media

After the election, I had hoped things would change. Sadly, the media continues to smugly undermine our troops in Iraq, attack the President and openly attempt to influence recruitment efforts for our armed services.

Of course you have heard about and perhaps even seen the incident caught on NBC film this week in Fallujah. The media is having a field day with this story, trying to paint the picture of a renegade, out of control US military running amok in Iraq. Although Cent Com has specifically said that they have removed the marine in question from the theater and are investigating the incident, the media is chomping at the bits for bad news from Iraq. The overwhelming success of Phantom Fury has taken the wind out of the sail of the insurgents, Al-Jazeera and even our own media. This week evening news 'bad news lead stories' were reduced to naming local casualties and hyping small scale uprisings in other cities. These actions were undertaken by insurgents in an attempt to shift the focus from the absolute route going on in Fallujah – the media obliged. Some of the footage shown on Fox News made it apparently clear to me that the rebels never had a chance in Fallujah. A majority of the 38 American dead resulted from false surrenders, booby trapped corpses and other unethical tactics. The media then has the nerve to portray the unfortunate Marine, having had a split second to react – one day after his platoon lost men to explosives rigged on dead insurgents, as an animal without any concern for international human rights. I do not claim to know what happened but until the investigation is complete, no one should pass judgment.

To top all this off, Chris 'Softballs' Mathews on MSNBC has the nerve to say that the insurgents aren't bad people, they just disagree with our way of doing things in Iraq. I am sorry… I must have heard that wrong. Nope – he said it. Has the media gone absolutely mad? Today we saw headlines splashed across papers and internet sites proclaiming that the Russians are developing new nuclear weapons in a response to the US missile shield. Sensationalism – the truth is that Moscow is actually looking to developing new delivery systems and our 20 missile interceptors would be no match for the thousands of intercontinental missiles already in the Russian arsenal. The truth is that Putin's remarks were meant for the domestic public and were designed to bolster the Russian image at home. Yet this was lost on the media, which saw an opportunity to spin the story into more anti-Bush headlines.

Lastly I would like to mention a few things about the insurgency in Iraq. The murder of humanitarian Margaret Hassan clearly exemplifies what we are dealing with here. Fundamentalist Muslims, claiming to be fighting a holy war for their great God, kidnapped and eventually shot a woman who had married an Iraqi, spoke fluent Arabic, had converted to Islam and dedicated 25 years of her life to helping the Iraqi people. To me, it shows that the insurgents don't understand. They do not get it and their message is warped. As a matter of fact I would like to argue that many of them don't even know what they are fighting for. This is the result of fanatical leaders instilling hatred and corrupting their followers to the point where 'rational' extremist behavior blurs with insanity. We have seen this before in Germany and other fanatical regimes. We are dealing with it in Iran and North Korea currently and the same situation is running rampant within Al-Qaeda. This is why we have to fight this enemy. This is why Iraq is the battle field today in the war against terror. This menace must be eradicated.

This enemy is an irrational entity, bent on killing for the sake of killing - A gathering of barbarians looking to spread their ways of chaos and destruction. Sadly, the media is giving them the attention they require and providing them with a platform by peddling their message to the masses – and the media is doing so with glee.

The people doing this don't believe in GOD. They should do everything they can to stay alive. Once their life is over, they will find themselves in front of "The Judge". The question will be put to them: "How did you help to make the Earth a better place?"
When they answer with their "humane" answers, it will be pointed out that they failed the primary test: They weren't able to tell the difference between GOOD and EVIL, and therefore led many innocent people down the path to Satan (mostly due to their lust for power and privilege).
They will then be parted from the humans who WERE able to and did pick good, and shall be put into storage for a time (hell) to learn the difference (direct exposure to evil tends to cure even the most rabid evil doer).
A clue: Not believing in something does NOT mean it doesn't exist...

These media dogs need to start taking responsibility for their actions. Only then will they start thinking about reporting out of context.

Sites (to take the most recent example) knew what kind of reaction his little home movie would cause in the Arab/Muslim world, but media dogs don't have to take any responsibility. If he claims not to know what reactions to expect, he's too ignorant and stupid to be even a lowly reporter. There was a whole other story behind that video, and he conveniently left it behind while claiming to make "news" available to the public. Clearly he knew exactly what he was doing.

But there's no such thing as a traitor in the U.S. anymore. We're too afraid to touch freedom of speech. And, what are we afraid of? Being called names, and lawsuits brought in front of lefty judges. It's scary being an American.

Great article. Why was that photographer(reporter?) with our troops in the first place? I'd think by now the military(PR) would realize the anti-american bias most journalists have for the U.S., and our troops. For some insight into the media and what makes these creeps tick,i reccomend reading "Bias" by Bernard Golberg, and "Unholy Alliance" by Horowitz.IMHO both are very insightful.

In general, the news media is already catering to the left, so letting them know that we don't like won't do much. However, NBC is unique in that they are owned by GE. If pressure is applied to GE it could cause NBC to reform. Why NBC can play Micheal Moore at the expense of alienating a lot of consumers from the various GE operations is a question that needs to come up in a GE boardroom. Hopefully some NBC punk would exit the meeting via a ten story window.

Let GE know that their goods and services will not be supported:

Appliances

Consumer Goods

Mortgage Services

I'll be buying a home in the next month or two and when I do I'll not be using GE services or products, and plan to photocopy receipts from competitors and snail-mail them to GE to prove my point. As well, the following was emailed to the appliances division:

'Just want to let you know that I'm purchasing a new house and will not be outfitting it with any GE appliances. Your company owns NBC which is actively supplying propaganda to the terrorists in Iraq and I believe that due to the efforts of NBC, and ultimately due to GE, that American soldiers will die. I wouldn't take your appliances for free. Maybe you should spin off NBC, and offer a "doesn't support the death of American soldiers" series of appliances.'

GE also owns MSNBC, Sci Fi, and USA Networks as well as owning Universal Pictures, Universal Parks / Resorts. Call your cable company and request that they drop MSNBC, Sci Fi, and USA Networks from the line up and replace them with some goofy channel normally found on digital cable. Go to the websites of Universal Pictures and tell them that you won’t be buying a ticket to movie X due to their affiliation with propaganda which will embolden terrorists to kill American troops.

If there is a hole in the armor of big media it is that one of them is owned by GE, and GE is all about money.
