I looked but could not find a poll to freep. I have called the Reagan Library and they told me that they are aware of these billboards going up all over the nation, but since his face is in the public domain there is nothing they can do. They suggested contacting local city councils. However, I think contacting the billboard company carrying this ad might be even more helpful.

Eat meat and get Alzheimer’s by the age of 90 ... Or follow PETA, don't eat meat and suffer mental retardation straight away. Decisions, decisions.

From my blog on this topic: " I would think that finding out that eating meat will put the rest of the world at the same mental capacity as their current members would actually cause PETA to EMBRACE meat-eating. They would finally be on a level playing field with the rest of us."

Using Reagan as an example for PETA is deeply offensive to all Americans who respected and loved him. Has PETA no decency at long last? Let Reagan rest in peace.

...than among those people who eat a more plant-based diet.”

If PETA's arguement is to stop people from eating animals, because they are living things, and have "rights", then why not ban eating plants too?

They really stepped on the old crank this time. Their core constituency will be offended by the Reagan reference, and Reagan lovers will, um, be offended by the Reagan reference (being used by a socialist leaning group). Way to make friends, PETA!

Isn't tofu linked to some mental illness? Seriously.

I have a policy about vegetarianism:

I think it is immoral to eat anything that can't defend itself.
