As national security adviser for the past four years, she has become one of Bush's closest confidantes and primary counselors as the nation waged a war on terror that was unimaginable when the administration took office in 2001.

When Rice is confirmed as Secretary of State, she will be closer to the presidency in the line of succession than any previous woman in U.S. history. While Medeline Albright also served as Secretary of State, Albright was not eligible to act as President, since she was not a natural-born citizen (she was born in Czechoslovakia and was a naturalized U.S. citizen).

Don't get the left started on that-- they'll be proposing an amendment... oh, wait. Nevermind.

A Hispanic Attorney General, an African-American Secretary of State. Where's the diversity on their side?

Belated Happy Birthday to Dr. Rice! I was thinking this morning how young she looks. She is someone who lives to her full potential.

Surpisingly, the administration ignored O'Reilly's suggestion to nominate Bill Clinton for the post.
