This is a prime example of the Tolrance of the Socialist Left. Mathews is just pushing the Socialist agend. The Muslims in Holland will not tolerate any criticism of Islamic religion.
They killed Van Goegh to indicate this. So the answer to this, to solve the problem is to allow more Muslims into the country and find a way to teach them the Socialist Dutch policy of Tolerance. !
So Mathews, being a Socialist spews out the same dialogue as the Dutch, their just people who disagree with us, even though they are killing our people. They act like it's a family argument between members of the FAMILY of MAN. Their KILLING us, not Argueing!!

I guess the NAZIs weren't really bad guys - just enemy soldiers.
These idiots can't seem to get it through their heads - this isn't just a difference of opinion about one's favorite football team. It isn't even the kind of distinction that separated British and Americans in 1776, or even North and South in 1860.
This is a millenial distinction in perspectives about lifestyles and basic belief systems. These guys feel ANYTHING goes in this war with "the west" - civilian causalties, germ warfare, nuclear weapons, hostage taking, torture, firing out of mosques, clergymen calling for attacks on civilians, etc. Furthermore, the society they represent condones a value system which is diametrically opposed to nearly every value we have evolved to cherish after a political evolution of several millenia.
