SACRAMENTO (Nov. 14) - A new Silicon Valley-based organization will begin running statewide advertisements backing a constitutional amendment that would let Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and other foreign-born citizens run for president. "You cannot choose the land of your birth. You can choose the land you love," Lissa Morgenthaler-Jones says in the cable television ads, scheduled to start running on Monday.

She is a Bay area mutual fund manager and major Schwarzenegger campaign donor who is helping pay for the ads. She also created a companion Web site, www.amendforarnold.com.

I like Arnold, but not that well folks.

We knew this was forth coming. The LBDV's are at it again.(Liberal Brain Dead Vipers) Don't forget that John McCain of AZ stated that he would support such a change, so this will be no joke Folks, Satan's minions are working fast and furious with another recommended change to our Constitution for our benifit.

Riiiiiggggght!

This whole thing is intriguing, why bother changing the Constitution, just have The ACLU sue on behalf of Arnold, or some other foreign born Muslim or illegal and the Supreme Court will work it's magic and tell us the Constitution already allows Anyone born out side the US to run for President, similar to their opinions on the First and Second Admendents. I just wonder if Tony Blair approved this before these Vipers started their poison flowing once again. I wonder if Great Britan would allow Someone like Arafat to run for office in England? Well, this is Hollywood California Folks, and we all know they are the beautiful, intelligent, genius's of the World, so we better pay attention, because we are all Insane, Religious, stupid, Idiots!

Email address for anyone who would like to respond to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger about the proposed Amendment to our Constitution. Send Lissa and Arnold your best thoughts.

I could not get through using the information contained in the news article, but I located this one that works.

I am against this; and one of the reasons I am against this is because once you call a Constitutional Convention, there's nothing to stop them from changing EVERYTHING.

That being said, if they do meet, I wonder if they'd change the amendment that says Bush can only serve two terms? :-)

This is a bad idea no matter who is running. So we get Arnold, but who turns up after that? Someone hand picked by Chirac or China?

The Gubenator doesn't have the popularity across the nation to compell the state assemblies to amend the constitution. I don't think this will be seriously considered. Besides, he is a very liberal repub.

Aren't these two organizers a commuist and a green party insider?

Sorry but there is a good reason to have a generational divide between the arrived and the born US citizens.

Otherwise George Soros would run for president himself.

Schwarzenegger is still a citizen of Austria. Are we willing to have a president who is a citizen of another country?

I never said he wasn't. he is a citizen of the U.S. and a citizen of Austria. Do you want a president who is a citizen of another country?

McCain seems to be working really hard these days - guess he isn't getting paid by the hour -

Perhaps year -

Since the nation seems to be moving in the other direction - I don't think this old body building guy has a chance -

Gee, you don't suppose if they ever did pass this stupid amendment they'd write something into it saying you had to renounce your other country, DO YOU?

Think before posting.

In some ways yes. In a number of ways, no.

It is very frustrating to watch him 'get it' on some major issues, then miss the mark on related matters.

I have watched him give many speeches. Unlike those who really appreciate them, to me it's like fingernails on a chalk board. Even when I agree with him, his delivery gives me the hives.

While I would never accuse him of being Clintonesque, there are issues where I consider his policies to be as damaging as some of Clinton's worst.

If he ushers in the FTAA and opens the border by massive immigrant workarounds, he will have essentially ended this nation as we know it.
