Not mentioned is the rumor the the USMC captured several terrorists that spoke no Arabic at all-only Farsi.

They should pretty well spill the beans after what they saw the US do in Falluja last week.

"The sad fact is that the vast majority of the fighters were just hopped up local guys."

Hopped up local guys?

"All the foreign fighter should be lined up and shot down like pigs on live TV."

During that raw footage of Fallujah on Drudge's link I noticed a Marine stop and look down, hesitated a moment and then he fired his rifle downward but the video didn't show the ground or what he was shooting at.

After the one shot, the Marine walked away. Maybe one less trial.

I agree. Let the Iraqi interrogate them, in whatever manner they need, and then publicize all the information.

Your statement does not follow from the facts in this story even with your additional number of foreigners. It is possible that more foreign fighters were killed in action or escaped.

Vlad Tepes knew what to do with these sorts. His favorite method of execution? Impalement.

Vlad Tepes often had the stakes arranged in various geometric patterns. The most common pattern was a ring of concentric circles in the outskirts of a city that was his target. The height of the spear indicated the rank of the victim. The decaying corpses were often left up for months. It was once reported that an invading Turkish army turned back in fright when it encountered thousands of rotting corpses impaled on the banks of the Danube. In 1461 Mohammed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, a man not noted for his squeamishness, returned to Constantinople after being sickened by the sight of twenty thousand impaled Turkish prisoners outside of the city of Tirgoviste. This gruesome sight is remembered in history as "the Forest of the Impaled."

"I do hope that no one does anything to humiliate the poor dears."

I hear ya. If I was Islamic, I'd hate to get to paradise wearing some gal's panties on my head. Probably get beat to death by 72 virgins who claimed he was unfaithful to them. That'd be double jeopardy.

Hang 'em with dull, rusty wire that decapitates as it slowly strangles. Then put all the dead bodies in a pit of pig fat, and let 'em rot for Al Jazeera TV and the "Arab Street" to see.
