1. CONTACT JUDICIARY COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND ASK THEM TO REJECT ARLEN SPECTER'S BID FOR THE CHAIRMANSHIP
Urge the Judiciary Committee members listed below to support Senator John Kyl of Arizona for Chairman, so that the anti-Specter forces are not divided among several of the other contenders thus giving Specter a better chance of winning. Kyl has the most seniority after Specter, excepting Grassley who doesn't want the job because he wants to maintain his position as chairman of the Finance Committee.
It is especially important that you contact the member if he is from your state!

Message for Republican Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee:
Senator Arlen Specter is an unacceptable choice to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee. Please do not vote to give him the Chairmanship. Instead, please select a Senator who does not have a pro-abortion litmus test and one who will work cooperatively with President Bush. Thank you.
Great efforts bump (wish I didn't live so far away from the action there...)
Thanks! I'll try to make this thing.
Do you think that conservatives will go away quietly when the "conservative" senators confirm Specter as chairman? I can't see a chance of those "conservative" senators denying Specter his slot. Of course, I also was unsure if GWB could win OH.
