Is he the high-profile Hispanic who is NOT committed to the pro-life agenda?

If so, then this is good because it keeps him out of the running for a seat on the Supreme Court!

Do I hear Hispanic vote increase in the next election?

Or greases the skids, depending on timing. AG would be a significant resume enhancement. In addition, assuming the 'rats don't filibuster a cabinet appointment, it would create a difficulty for a subsequent filibuster on a SC nomination, since most of the dems would have fairly recently voted for the guy. Sure, they could say "well, this is for the Supreme Court and that's a completely different matter," but it would still tend to inhibit an all-out attack.

I thought similarly. If he's the guy (and I think he is), I was concerned about talk of him possibly being appointed as Chief Justice of the SC.

If, by not being "committed," you mean that he's unwilling to legislate from the bench in a fashion pleasing to you, but will interpret the laws as written, then the answer is yes.

Neither was Janet Reno. Remember her abuse of the RICO laws?

Are we looking at Reno II, here?
