Prayer Request for FReeper's Husband

Knak had previously requested prayer for her beloved husband. He has liver cancer, and his kidneys have failed. She learned this morning that this failure is permanent and that he will be coming home to spend his last days with his family. She has asked for prayer that he will peacefully be ushered into the Presence of the Lord, and for wisdom in telling their 9-year-old son.

Heavenly Father, we return with gratitude that You are the Good Shepherd and that You lead Your children in the way they should go. Thank You, Merciful Father, for shepherding knak and her son during this time of sorrow. May Your hand rest mightily upon knak's husband as he nears the end of his earthly days. Though his home going will be profoundly joyful for him, his loved ones will grieve the loss of his presence. May they be persuaded that nothing can separate us from the Love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord, and that their dear husband and father is not gone, but gone before.
