The truth is: Dems nominated the wrong guy in the first place. Only 10% of Dems voted in their primaries. If they get their base out to vote in the primaries maybe they will come up with a more reasonable candidate.

I think you're probably right. The difference in the election was that Bush got that few percent more of the 10-20% who don't have party brand loyalty. Had the dems nominated somebody remotely likeable and respectable, I think Bush may well have lost them, and thereby the election.

Question is: who do they have like that?

Absolutely. I could not believe when they nominated Kerry, and I still can't believe that the election was as close as it was. (Only because the MSM ran interference for his record)

I still feel Lieberman could have given Bush a good run for his money, but the DU kook crowd made sure he didn't have a chance.
