According to the Dutch intelligence service, one of the September 11 hijackers, Mohammed Atta, has followed an ideologic course at the mosque. The mosque is also connected to the al-Haramain foundation, that according the United Nations collects money for al-Qaeda

The Dutch parliament discussed a closure of the mosque several times. But no closure has been agreed yet. Looks like the "enlightened" Europeans have a problem with their multiculturalism policies.
