Once they heard the draft threat was farce, they didn't feel the need to vote.
LOL!!
I voted and I am in the 18 to 24 group.
My sons are 22 and 19 year old college students and they both voted for Bush and said that all of their friends did too.
I am 21 and I voted absentee two weeks ago for W. My boyfriend voted today in VA for W as well. Not sure who my 19 yr old brother voted for, but he did go vote.
My campus was also a voting site today. A lot of kids were talkin the talk, but I doubt on this rainy day of cancelled classes that many got up and stood in line.
This 24 year old voted before going to work this morning...
Ahem. Wrong.
Sentence 1: same proportion of youth as 2000
Sentence 2: increased NUMBER of youth from 2000
Explanation: 1000 voters aged 18-24, 10,000 voters over 24 (in 2000) = 1 out of 10
2000 voters aged 18-24, 20,000 voters over 24 (in2004) still equals 1 out of 10. SAME PROPORTION, MORE YOUTH.
That's a major thing for me. I would like some private investment. I'm already working on a 401k. I would like some more options.
