I visited Alabama a few years ago. It's a lovely part of the world, and the people are delightful.

I poll watched at a former Democratic stronghold, Dutton Alabama.
Bush 508, Kerry 386 total 902 votes. First time a Republican won the precinct.
I still think all the hype scared people that Kerry would pull it off.
