The President's campaign has a great idea, particularly for those of you with cell phones. You can call registered voters in swing states, reminding them to come out and vote for President Bush. I'll be calling 15 Floridians today on my lunch break and 15 more voters in Swing States tomorrow.
Sign up as a volunteer and do something to move this campaign forward.

Okay, I'm blind. I don't see specifically where you sign up to call. I filled out the 72-hour form several days ago and haven't heard from anyone. Is that what you're referring to?
Do you have a contact? I can call part of tomorrow and all day Tuesday, I just need to get in contact with the powers that be.

They would fax or email the names and you could call them from your home using your extra cell phone minutes.

I have the same problems-
I volunteered for the 72 hrs days ago but no one has contacted me or told me where to go.
AND I got the e-mail about calling voters with your free cell phone minutes...but when I click the link I can't find the info!
Wish I had something to do besides worrying, flipping the channels for news, searching the net for polls, fretting (repeat)!
My wife is a 72 Hour Task Force Marshal in Michigan, we live in Maryland.

Do you have a local phone book for your area?
If so, follow these steps:
[1] Go get it
[2] Open it up
[3] Look up the Republican Headquarters in your county
[4] Call them
[5] Tell them that you want to volunteer to help get out the vote ( GOTV )
[6] If they're so busy that you can't get through, then get in your car (or hop on the bus), and go there.
[7] When you get there tell them that you want to volunteer to help GOTV and are willing to make phone calls or whatever it is that they need you to help with between now and tomorrow night.
Hey, I had eight phone calls this weekend from various friendly local types and recordings from Franklin Graham, Newt Gingritch, and 6 other recording type hang ups. I have a seriously ill mother, so I don't ignore or unplug my phone...my grandbaby had NO nap and watching the Jags lose was an extra misery.
PLEASE- DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS EXTRA ANNOYANCE!!!
Good advice for swing states or close states, but Bush is up almost 25 points in my state. I'm looking for a way to help where it's close.
Okay, so we just sit by and let the Dems do their get out the vote and we let our voters sit at home?
I understand the annoyance, but let's not apply your circumstances to everyone.

Of course I've been to this site. I've sent in the 72-hour form days ago. I haven't heard from anyone and I don't see any other links on this webpage that involve calling to GOTV.
