IF YOU SUPPORT OUR POW/MIAs AND VETERANS AND PLAN TO VOTE NEXT WEEK, NO EXPLANATION IS NECESSARY.

IF YOU PLAN TO VOTE FOR KERRY, NO EXPLANATION IS POSSIBLE!

Jane Fonda gave an apology and I still think she is a POS.

Kerry was in Viet Nam?

Stop distorting the record, you sarcastic right-wing conspirator living off some Republican Texas Millionaire's Money and trying to bring down a man chosen by God, who in Her infinite wisdom has give this candidate $500 Million Dollars of Senator Heinz' hard-earned Ketchup Money to become our saviour in this gour of need. I was with Kerry in VietNam and spent many a jolly Christmas in Cambodia with him, as well. It is seared into my brain. It was right after we climbed Mt. Everest with Hillary Clinton, or Sir Hillary somebody or other, and Bill Buckner of the Red Sox, and The Security Council.

We had a lot of free time because we were excused early from the war because of our many Purple Hearts. Thank God, too! By using our Navy pay to go to Paris, we were able to negotiate a quicker peace with the NVA and secure better treatment for our prisoners, while picking up direction and support for our heroic antiwar efforts.

You really ought to be spending your time viewing the MSM and getting all of these facts straight before you vote. So there you go, no need to go snooping into this hero's private military and FBI records, you have it all.

So what you're telling me is I should vote for Kerry before I vote against him?

Kerrey is proposing the same sort of non-apology apology that only made things worse for Hanoi Jane.

Hey, Kerrey! Here's what an apology looks like...

"To all the veterans of the Vietnam War, I'm sorry I lied about you committing war atrocities. None of it was true and I humbly beg your forgiveness. I was wrong."

That is an apology.

Timing is everything... or in this case, nothing.

Aside from a statement along the lines of:

"I was completely and utterly wrong in everything I said and did as a member and leader of the VVAW. Likewise, I have been equally wrong in my attempt to further my political ambitions through the distortion and exploitation of my dubious military record. My actions then, as now, were and are unconscionable and disgraceful. I've no right to ask to serve as the President of this great nation - a nation I long ago turned my back upon. I now ask every citizen to cast their vote for the only candidate in this election FIT to serve... please cast your ballet to re-elect President George W. Bush!"

I doubt there isn't anything that kerry could say at this point that would make a real difference to the veterans he has (and continues to) malign.

I personally will not be satisfied that justice has been served until kerry is impeached from the senate and put behind bars for treason.

"What I said I know hurt people. It know it hurt veterans out there. It made it difficult for them."

This is PURE B.S.!!! It is a NON-apology, because, in fact, it does not admit any wrong-doing. That is NOT an apology, but is tanamount to saying "It's too bad your so thin-skinned and feel insulted by me pointing out that you are all war criminals." Kerrey's Freudian slip is more honest - ergo, a Demonrat is incapable of doing it.

There was only one reason for his accusations and that was to undermine the war effort which eventually succeeded in the abandonment of South Vietnam by the dims in the wake of the Watergate affair. His mission was accomplished. An apology now would be a useless gesture. The only thing acceptable from Kerry would be if he somehow overthrew the communist govt. of Vietnam today. Any chance of that happening?

An apology would seem, at most, like good manners, but would have no further meaning beyond that unless it was coupled with a statement to withdraw from the race out of regret for the pain and suffering he caused this nation and his fellow servicemen. Otherwise such an apology would be seen merely as the calculated BS that it is.

Kerry's character precludes such a sincere admission of guilt. For Kerry there is no one to apologize to, because other people don't really exist for him as other people, but only as objects out there in the environment to be manipulated for his ends. He is all that exists: who could there be to apologize to?

If it is any consolation, way down deep, at a level too scary for him to even imagine, there is a place where he knows how shameful and treasonous his words and actions have been. But it is so painful that he will never go there, and his whole life has been and will be a desperate, frantic effort to avoid the horrible emptiness of that place.

In his "Confessions", St. Augustine says to God, "Matters are so arranged at your command that every disordered soul is its own punishment". Amen.

Understood. He is not about to or going to apologize. He is a traitor...32 years go, and today. The call for him to apologize is not about him, it about educating others regarding him and his activities.

Skerry may never apologize.

But this is the best Democrat to Democrat advice I have heard since Klintoon was advised to resign...

If only they would heed advice.

If sKerry had anything remotely like a "Moral Compass", he might realize that he is still several clicks below "Hanoi Jane" in the food chain. Apologize? He should be down on his knees begging forgiveness!
