Laura Ingraham makes a fool out of Senator Bob Graham on Larry King Live (read the transcript)
CNN Larry King Live ^ | 10/30/04

Posted on 10/29/2004 9:55:56 PM PDT by Cableguy

INGRAHAM: I just -- every time I hear someone in a position of power say that the war on terror has been abandoned when we have three quarters of the al Qaeda leadership in our custody, when our men and women in battle have done such an enormously great job all around the world, not just in Afghanistan, not just in Iraq, but our special forces operating in every country from The Philippines to Indonesia, all over this are globe. I think it's an insult to the troops, and I don't think Senator Graham really means it.

B. GRAHAM: It's not an insult to the troops.

INGRAHAM: Talk to the troops. They're insulted by that.

B. GRAHAM: Laura, you can have a reasonable disagreement with the commander-in-chief and the decisions that he's making as to how to wage the war...

INGRAHAM: Absolutely.

B. GRAHAM: Without denigrating the bravery and courage of the men and women who are actually fighting the war.

INGRAHAM: Right. But Senator Graham, if you let me finish my point that I was trying to make is that when you say that we've abandoned the war on terror, that just is so factually inaccurate. I don't understand, as a senator of the United States, how do you possibly say that? We have three quarters of al Qaeda in custody. How is that abandoning the war in terror? And let me also finish. Saddam Hussein was funding to the tune of $25,000 a family who was supporting suicide bombers going into Israel. We know that, and you know that. And Zarqawi is there today operating freely because he was given safe havens for some time in Iraq. You know that, and I know that. That's not abandoning the war on terror.

I like Ann's columns and Laura's appearances.

Yes.

Laura is so great.

She doesn't want to do tv regularly though, she says.

Check her out mornings on http://www.ksky.com from 9 to noon ET weekdays.

Definitely worth listening to.

Very funny, and always informative and up to the minute. I love to start the day catching up and laughing a lot too.

"Speaking of Greta. When the Scott Peterson trial ends.
What the heck will Greta now talk about."

Are you kiding? She'll either provide daily commentary on Scott's new dresscode or the fetish crowd at FOX will find yet another tragedy to sensationalize for ratings.

It is good to see someone speak so directly and hold someone's feet to the fire. I just wish in some of these shows the hosts would shut up a bit (Hannity - you are a great American) and that it would not be such a shouting match. Let someone like Laura make the point, then let the Senator evade it, then let Laura force him back to the point.

The hosts of the shows let things hang and then jump to their next question. They don't listen. They have their list of questions and segment outlines and they rush the show.

I swear, someone could make a heart stopping point and the host would say, let's move on, what about...

Does anybody else think that Jimmy Carter and Walter Cromkite are the same person? They have both turned into wackos-so far left you can't go any farther. I hate listening to either one.

CRONKITE: What we just heard. So now the question is basically right now, how will this affect the election? And I have a feeling that it could tilt the election a bit. In fact, I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing

I can't tell you how disgusted I am to read this. I missed the beginning of the program, so this is enough to make me ill.

Never forget: Cronkite = "krankheit", the German word for sickness or disease.

Walter Contrite is set in his socialist ways. 50 years ago we had a Strong enough base that creeps like him could do their thing and not hurt the country.

You've got to be kidding, about the second part. It was Walter who convinced the country that we lost rather than won the Tet Offensive. This torpedoed America's dwindling confidence in the war effort and led -- with Kerry's help -- to our ignominious withdrawal.

He and his pal BillyJeff are both in serious need of medical help.

They should stick to boating now, that's all they're good for.

The real outrage is how Larry King Alive let this insane comment slip right by as if it was a perfectly reasonable statement. It's time that all of these slavering MSM hosts stopped humouring this doddering old communist and for once called him on his idiotic utterances.

Laura did wipe the floor with both of those guys. I swear, Richardson looked like he just got wacked across the head towards the end of the interview. I think he knows as of tonight Kerry is toast.

They have both turned into wackos-so far left you can't go any farther.

As you age, you just become more of what you always were. And with collagen treatments, they could be each other.

This I have to see. Does HBO re-air Maher's show?

It's just coming on right now (11pm PDT, HBO1). Stupid-arse Maher said that OBL doesn't decide our elections...the Supreme Court does.

The depth of my hatred of this guy, and those like him, is beyond the beyond. Good for Ann, for cleaning his clock. And I guarantee that the ONLY reason I'd be watching this piece of s*** show is to see Ann.

B. GRAHAM: It's not an insult to the troops.

INGRAHAM: Talk to the troops. They're insulted by that.

The truest statement in the whole article. Notice Graham ignored it and tried to justify himself.

Ahh, yes. Wasn't that picture taken during impeachment? I sure hope Walter is not the captain of this boat anymore. Wouldn't be safe for anyone on the water.
