New York Governor George Pataki attended a rally for NC Republican gubernatorial candidate Patrick Ballantine on Wednesday with Congressman Howard Coble (5th District), Republican congressional candidate Virginia Johnson (13th District), and FReeper Marcus Kindley (Guilford County GOP Chairman) in attendance. Around one hundred people came to the event to hear inspiring speeches by Ballantine, Pataki, and Coble. On a personal note, I was energized by the rally, as I was angered by the many vandalized and stolen Bush-Cheney yard signs I noticed on the trip to Greensboro (a large 4' x 6' Bush-Cheney banner in the Summerfield area was covered with a large, spray-painted swastika). As a result, I will double my efforts to get President Bush reelected.

I know one of the large signs here in Summerfield had "lier" spray painted on it. I guess that reflects the IQ of the local Kerry supporters. :|

I've GOT to repeat to you what I wrote in the NC forum, so you'll forgive me.

vj2004 Since you were there, you must have heard Pataki remind everyone he was behind eleven points the day before his election, and won by eight.

There are some fundamentals, and I don't mean democgraphics, that the cheap media polls are not, and couldn't possibly take into account, that give Ballantine a better chance than is generally acceptable to the media, who have labored to manufacture a consensus for Easley.

For example, if your were a state employee, a prison guard say, and you got a robo pollster calling you anonymously asking you to punch one for Easley and two for Ballantine, would you punch Ballantine? Not bloodly likely, not knowing whether or not you were being placed on Tony Rand's naughty list. There are hundreds of thousands of them.

Now, there are problems. Easley put a lot of money into bringing Ballantine's numbers down early, with an effective negative campaign, a lot of which was approved out-of-state soft 527 money the Board of Elections approved while crapping all over the same for Ballantine.

By the way, if you want to see that ad, I've seen it posted at the following link: HERE

It's a hoot, and it has gotten some play, but not enough. (Both debates are linked to that site as well.)

Ballantine also almost run out of money, and the manufactured consensus of the Ruling Mafia discouraged donations.

Ballantine has also placed himself in the right place on the illegal immigration issue, neglected by Easley, and that can be seen, a short clip of his confrontation with Easley, and the FoxNews piece focusing on North Carolina's illegals (not to mention the gang rape by illegals inflaming folks in Charlotte and the vicinty... I again urge my fellow NC Freepers to watch it, and share the link with your friends:

HERE

And Ballantine has focused a great deal of attention to the East, without ignoring the Republican crescent cities.

That, and a lot of other things, might answer the question of why liberal Charlotte Observer columnist Jack Betts has asked wondering why Easley is still piling on Ballantine with negative ads, just like Brad Miller running negative ads against Virginia Johnson in a district he literally drew for himself.

These guys can't afford to pay for polls that are not accurate. And accurate polls are very, very expensive.

I will graciously admit I am wrong, next Tuesday, but I still remember Patrick Ballantine speaking to our Freep rally in Raleigh, two years ago, and I think the vote for Republicans in 1972 and 1984 and 1994 is more likely this year than it could have possibly been in those days.

Again, take another looks at the debates, share the link with your friends regarding Easley and Ballantine on immigration especially.

And don't be surprised if Tuesday night might see a lot of surprises.

And I pray I'm right. The Raleigh Mafia must be defeated, and Patrick's election would be the beginning, not the end of that fight.

All of a whopping 100 people turned out for this event.

I predict Patrick looses by double digits.

It's time to start searching for a new fighter in 2008.

Yes, very disgusting to see the immaturity of the DemocRATS. I read a letter to the editor in the Greensboro News and Record this week from a Bush supporter who stood roadside in Summerfield with a Bush sign in hand, along with his daughters. He said that he was the target of insults, cursing, middle-fingers, and they were nearly run over by a swerving Kerry supporter. It's getting pretty bad were children are targeted (and their lives threatened) for expressing their freedom of speech. But that's why I vote (and work) for the Republicans.
