Not to impinge on the Bill-bashing, but this is a real symndrome. My father had emergency bypass several years ago and - they think because of some small clots due to the use of the heart-lung machine - has terrible short term memory. He can tell you, in detail, about stuff that happened 20 years ago but will have no idea what he had for lunch or where his golf ball went after his drive. He had to retire at 66 as a physician because of it.
Ok... now back to the Bill jokes!

I agree.
Wasn't it a 4 vessel bypass he had? That had to have been a very difficult surgery. Wouldn't surprise me if there were (expected) complications.
