Perhaps you cringe --because parts of the MSM have been so awfully viscious to homeschoolers via agitprop brought to them by the NEA and Democrats -- you have become accustomed to the regular beatings against homeschoolers? I know it too! :> If one homeschooler is being abused -- "all homeschoolers are being abused". And however, the same praters never apply the same extention to pub edders "if one child isn't learning, all children aren't learning..."

"According to his sister, Los Angeles environmentalist Nancy Pearlman, their father was a strong opponent of the Vietnam War. She told CNN, “Our family are strong believers in non-violence. We are strong believers in peace.”"

LOL so 'non-violence' are what terrorists believe. Sounds like it comes straight out of the JFKerry campaign.

She told CNN, “Our family are strong believers in non-violence. We are strong believers in peace.”

Translation: We believe others should be peaceful when we use violence to oppress them. We strongly believe in our opponents not fighting back.

The socialist term used to justify their violent tendencies and behaviors is: "direct action". And alongside this "direct action" they claim to be "non-violent". See? :)

I can't seriously blame the lad. Being brought up in civilized America at a farm without indoors plumbing or electricity was the shortest way to Islam for him.

His spoiled sybarite "hippie" parents were wealthy enough to recreate conditions of a cesspool Arabic/Musli country in California. If boys normally have their first awkward sexual experience on the backseat of a car, this guy naturally went by the way of a Palestinian herder and befriended goats entrusted to his care by his father...

Well, he is just a cuckoo, and if he somehow really overstepped the line, a jail term would be the best therapy for him.

Tonite Peter Jennings said Gaddahn said "I could never pray to Jesus, because he is a SON of God."(emphasis his).

It took me a long time as a Christian to understand what "Son of God" means. I lived in Southern California when Gadahn did. It's a pretty strong Christian area, other than Hollyweird. But certain radio and TV and neighborhood-church preaching is way too simplistic.

There is only one God. So it would sound wrong to pray to someone less than God. But "Son of God" is defined in the Bible as being eternally God Himself, not a creation of God, not less than God the Father.

Scripture defines "God" (what He is) as consisting of three "Whos": the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct from the other, yet equal. They are co-eternal, having no beginning or ending. The Father is God, the Son(Jesus) is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Each are equal, and these three interrelate and act, and make up the one and only God.

"The "Son of God" does not mean Jesus is less than the Father. He still is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and eternal. However, He is not the Father. The Father is not the Son. The Son of God is God. the Spirit is not the Son nor the Father.

Jesus is the one God. The Father is the one God. The Holy Spirit is the one God. We're not saying there are three Gods, but that there are three "Who"s within the one "What" of Deity. God is what He is. WHO God is, that's Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Father sent the Son. The Son added a human nature to His Divine nature when becoming human. Jesus was fully God and fully man. As the Son, He willingly obeyed the Father. He still was God.

When we pray, the only way to come to Him is how HE has ordained: through the Son. We accept the death of Jesus for us, we believe in His resurrection, and we accept His forgiveness. He is our only mediator to the Father. No man can come to the Father except through the Son is what Jesus taught.

And take this one step further with me...precisely because it's okay to pray to Jesus, because Jesus is God, is because Jesus rose from the dead. It PROVED He was Who He claimed to be: the eternal Son of God.

Adam Gadahn needed to be taught these things, that the Son IS God come to earth. He needed to hear that the Father would not hear his prayers except he have a relationship with His Son. Maybe he would have found that Christian religion is the only right one.

We need to tell our neighbors! We can see here the consequence of a failure to evangelize and teach about Who Jesus is, and what He has done for us.
