Wait a minute here! The Reps have been in control and have had FOUR YEARS to fix this crap. Jeb Bush had PLENTY of time to fix it in Florida and Bush had plenty of time to fix it nationwide, if that had been their goal. Apparently, it was a low priority for them. I'm starting to wonder why.

I love the stories about three hour waits for early voting. This results from a fundamental flaw in the concept.

Precinct voting exists because it parcels out the work amoung many sites. It simply moves faster, and the precinct workers tend to remember you from one election to the next.

How many of these college students were planning to vote twice?

58,000 MISSING ABSENTEE BALLOTS.

58,000 could easily sway the entire election.

The Post Office lost them? No way. This needs to be investigated immediately.

Hmmmm....sounds like somebody in bulkmail may have a couple of slippery fingers. And yes, it is very easy to do. For a party who prefers to give the people liars and cheaters as candidates, how can we NOT expect them to lie and cheat?

I sure as hell hope that the same hasn't happened here in Brevard County, where I sent in my absentee ballot. This has me scared as well.

Broward is not a Republican Stronghold. 2:1 Democrats. Almost all elected officials are Democrats - The current Supervisor of Elections is Brenda Snipes, a well respected black politician, a Democrat, who was appointed by Jeb Bush when Miriam Oliphant was removed because for incompetence. Local Republicans screamed for a Republican appointee, but Jeb understood the implications and appointed Snipes. The Democrats are responsible for this mess - BTW Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties are overwhelmingly Democratic.

go to the voting booths on November 2 and do it the old fashioned way

It is a seven hour drive for students from Tallahassee to Broward County. Dubya wrote a letter to the postmaster general advising him that the rumors of postal workers deliberately withholding ballots had reached the White House.

It is a big deal.

I was feeling so good last week. I thought the president had momentum, the polls were trending in his favor. And I thought after the fiasco of 2000 Karl Rrove and the gang would be on top of the democrats dirty tricks.
Well today I'm not feeling so good. We've got a ballot fiasco in Ohio, another one in Florida. We've got the latest NY Times hit piece. Most of the polls have the race deadlocked which means they're trending for Kerry. With 25% of the ballots cast in New Mexico Kerry is leading. Doing well in 'key' sates.
I though our side was all fired up to vote, I've been hearing that our get out the vote was better than the democrats. Well, apparantly I was wrong. And I'm very upset with the President and his team for this mess. He's running against a George McGovern clone, a Neville Chamberlain clone. This race shouldn't be close. Voter fraud shouldn't even be an issue. But it will be. Jim

They'd be stepping on the Constitution to do that. It's entirely up to the States' legislatures to determine the times, places, and manner of these federal elections, as long as they apply equally to all eligible voters. If not equal, then the courts step in.

Broward County is an unusual case. They have had major

news stories about problems in the elections dept.

Not too long ago they got rid of the dept.head and

now they have a new one. If I had to guess it would

not surprise me if she didn't

sabotage the dept. a little on her way out.

GW is the president of the United States and John Ashcroft the Attorney General

If they dont stop the rats...nobody will....

If they do stop the dems they will squeal non stop...the media will declare Pres Bush the moral equivilant of a 3rd world dictator..

Personally I hope GW stops this whole mess and simply remains president until it is cleaned up

Once the rats get back in power they will burn any bridges necessary for them to stay in power..

The republic will be lost this time...and the cure will most likely kill the patient...

GW will have to act boldly in order to save us..

It will be the guttsiest move by any US President

We will all have to stand behind him 100% on this if it happens..

And trust him to give us back our freedom when the criminals are all behind bars

IMO

Jim don't worry. I promise you that you are not seeing a lot of stuff that Bush and company are doing behind the scenes on the voter fraud issue. On the ground, the Republicans have an unbelievable organization. For example, in Ohio the Republicans have an organization all the way down to the precinct level. The Dems only have the unions and the 527 groups that have a whole disconnect. You are not seeing a lot of things that the media does not want to let you know. That is why the Dems and MSM are in an utter panic to destroy Bush because they know they will probably lose. Cheer up and have faith.

Those were my thoughts exactly! I don't trust the US Postal System at all. They are basically on an honor system to deal faithfully with our mail. I think it is unlikely that the entire workforce of the Post Office is made up of honorable, decent human beings. The fact that they are unionized and that every single union in the country operates as a wing of the DNC makes me very uneasy. BTW, I just heard someone call in to a radio program saying that they had registered to vote at the DMV, was sent their voter registration number, but the card that they sent back to the Registrars office via USPS to confirm their receipt somehow never was delivered. When they went to do Early Voting they were not allowed to do so because the Registrar's office had not received their confirmation card.Their registration had been voided.

I'm trying to stay positive. But when the President, who i believe is a great man, sits there and takes it on the chin from the NY Times and Kerry, I'm starting to lose faith that he's got the will to win. He needs to call Kerry out and say to him stop acting like a politican and start acting like an american. jim
