When? When did this stuff go missing? A year ago? Two?

According to Rush, this stuff was not there approximately 19 months ago, when our troops checked. So, that many tons had to be moved and hidden or transported out of Iraq before April 2003. That would have taken awhile.

This is recycled "news" repackaged by the NYTs in coordination with the Kerry campaign to attack the President. IOW, the enemy within rears its evil head again. The Dems are desperate.

Today I've been hammered with psychotic socialist spam demeaning President Bush and demanding I vote for FN John.

The spams contain links to "Huge Cache of Explosives Vanished From Site in Iraq - New York Times" news items and FN John's "statement" on the Kerry/Edwards site.

Wankers.

If it was only 380 tons, then the car bombing criminals should be running on empty.

Personally I think the 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives "vanished"in Sandy Berger's pants. He was "absent minded" again.

BTW, what's new with Sandy Berger?

How could this have happened where there were no WMD's?

Perhaps because these were conventional explosives.

Do you REALLY not understand the distinction?

John Gibson pointed out to Gen. Clark that in fact much of it was located in two bunkers that the Coalition Forces blew up with Bunker Busting Bombs and they believe the Iraqis took any remaining explosives out to the Desert to protect from further air attacks. Really shocked and left the guy windless!

Nope, this will all be about "Bush guarded the oil ministry but not the explosives."

No surprise considering he didn't guard Tuwaitha either.

In fact, did the Bush administration bother to send anyone to any of places they claimed they knew WMD were hidden until weeks after the end of major military operations? Odd behavior for an administration that was mislead by bad intel into believing that there there were WMD stockpiles hidden there.

Like, what were they waiting for?

Actions speak louder than words.

These explosives were gone prior to any US soldiers being on the ground.

From the NYT article:

I.A.E.A. experts say they assume that just before the invasion the Iraqis followed their standard practice of moving crucial explosives out of buildings, so they would not be tempting targets. If so, the experts say, the Iraqi must have broken I.A.E.A. seals on bunker doors and moved most of the HMX to nearby fields, where it would have been lightly camouflaged - and ripe for looting.

But the Bush administration would not allow the agency back into the country to verify the status of the stockpile.

You also wrote:

I would not be surprised that one of the big explosions videotaped from the Rashad/Palestine hotels during the opening evenings of the USAF bombing/ALCM/SLCM offensive toasted this stuff for effect on day one.

Indeed, according to the NYT article two of the buildings had been replaced by large craters.

I've never, not once, heard of the bombings in Iraq being anything but IEDs, usually from 155mm warheads.

Did you hear about any car or truck bombings in Iraq in the last two years or so? Do you remember the UN headquarters in Baghdad being bombed?

What do you remember being used?

That's a serious question, I do not recall the explosives being identified.

Great point. The noise level of the campaign is so high
that the sheeple will hear "missing' and "terrorists" etc,
which may come out as ,"whoa...Sadaam was dangerous."

Now, also, I didn't see the following posted anywhere....I listened to Fox talk about the story tonite and have you heard the pronounciation of the Al Qa Qaa weapons site?

YUP.YUP.YUP. Its' pronounced...
" al Kah-Kah"( as in doo-doo)

I fell off the sofa LOL...what a fitting name for this story!

October surprise #2 from Kerry is going to be the announcement of Clinton as Secretary of State in his admin.

Ugh, yuck. I hope you're wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Exactly. When I see the term "explosives" I think car bomb. It makes it look like Saddam was in fact sponsoring terrorism.

This is the last week before the election and this is the best they can come up with?
