JACKSONVILLE, Fla. President Bush hopscotched through Florida yesterday in a campaign swing that rallied nearly 100,000 partisans as he accused Sen. John Kerry of "election amnesia" regarding the Iraq war. Mr. Bush kicked off his day at a minor league baseball stadium in Fort Myers, where he arrived aboard Marine One and landed in left field to the thrill of the 12,000 supporters in attendance. He emerged from the helicopter to cheers, while music from the Navy pilot movie "Top Gun" blared from the loudspeakers.

Kerry Campaign
Neck and Neck, and going down to the wire...
Nice contrasting photo's.
Geore and Laura, in front of a huge crowd,
versus
John and,....(is that Thersa?), in some dismal eatery, still trying to prove that he doesn't disdain the 'little guy'. Of course, he's cleared out everybody but a SS agent and what looks like an uncomfortable policeman....
The picture is hilarious. Looks like the waitress is giving them the cold shoulder.
A good photoshop manipulator could put Tourist Guy in that photo.
That "uncomfortable policeman" is Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who certainly looks like he is hoping Kerry's cooties don't run off on him! HA!
Great comparison ;-D
The AP ran a headline: "KERRY STOPS IN TEXAS WITHOUT KNOWING IT". Kerry and gang were in a border town, thinking they were still in Colorado....until a Texan informed them they were now in Texas. LOL!
Needless to say, we had a little fun with that accompanying photo!
Those two photos are hilarious! Said it before and I say it again, Kerry looks like a doofus in every single photo - hopefully after Nov 2 we won't have to suffer the sight of him again.
"..Wait.. that looks like a supporter...no...."
Thanks for the link! I just got done reading that hilarious thread! I wasn't here last night so I would have missed it.
Numbers at rallies usually indicate the intensity of supporters and the potential for undecided voters to join the percieved 'winning' team.
I keep seeing large numbers in the newspaper at rallies for Bush. I don't see much about Kerry. Now I admit to reading mostly Bush articles, but usually the MSM would try to show balance by citing Kerry numbers.
Am I reading too much into this? ANyone have an idea of Kerry numbers at rallies?
It's pretty well known that "elite" democrats are the worst tippers you'll find. I'm sure the waitress knows this.
I've heard that Silky Pony drew about 2500 people to an event in Florida yesterday, while Hillary got about 300 to turn out for her in South Florida. The numbers that the washed-up Hollyweirders on the trail are even more pathetic (Cher got a couple of hundred at some gay bar in Miami, while Rosie O'Donnell couldn't even muster up a crowd of 50).
When I do see crowd shots at Kerry rallies (something the MSM tries very hard to avoid showing), I see lots of union signs and shirts, causing me to suspect that Kerry's having to bus a large part of his crowd in to be bored to death listening to him drone on and on.
Granted its hard to compare even a DEM celebrity like Hillary or VP candidate to the Presidency with its aura of history and power, these numbers are encouraging aren't they.
I'd have expected more from Hillary's advance men and simply from celebrity seekers for Cher.
Rosie: who wants to see her anyway?
The thing with Hillary is really telling. After all, the Rats and the MSM never tire of telling us how Hillary is THE Top Dog in democrat party politics and how all the Rats everywhere just go crazy for her. And she only manages to draw 300 to a campaign event in Palm Beach, the belly of the democratic beast in Florida. They're really enthused, all right.
