Election Fraud Cases Under Review

Hundreds of cases of suspected election fraud are under review in Franklin County.

"I was surprised by the number," county prosecutor Ron O’Brien told 10TV.

Stacks of voter registration applications are now being scrutinized. Prosecutor O'Brien’s office is reviewing them for irregularities after the applications raised red flags with the Board of Elections.

"What causes some of this to happen is that people are being paid to register new voters," O’Brien said of the practice of paying people by the application.

One application being examined was signed in the name of a man who passed away in February. Another 25 applications show different addresses for the same man.

Six of the suspicious forms were submitted by representatives of the Columbus Urban League, while 62 others came from ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

Both groups say they've fired people suspected of fraud.

Kevin Eugene Dooley, involved in Project Vote as an employee or agent of ACORN, was indicted by the grand jury earlier this year for two felony election offenses -- false election registration, and submitting false election signatures to the Board of Elections. Dooley is alleged to have falsified and forged a new voter registration card that was submitted to the BOE.

And you might recognize the name of Nuradin Abdi. He’s a native of Somalia charged with plotting to blow up a Columbus mall.

"As far as board of elections is concerned, Abdi is a registered voter," board of elections director Matt Damschroeder said.

We now know according to federal officials, he's an illegal alien. That would mean he can't legally vote. But the Franklin County Board of Elections had no way of checking that when they sent him a voter registration card early this year.

The board takes a person's word, that they're a U.S. citizen.

"Right now, we're in between not having a way to full check," Damschroeder said.

Elections workers do check new signatures with old records -- and watch for voter registration confirmation cards that are returned in the mail: Red flags for election fraud.

"Anyone responsible will be prosecuted," O’Brien said.

Election fraud is a felony.

That is why I think a lot of the Democrats comments about "New Voters" is pure hype.

Instead of using ACORN, we should all use ACORN/Tides/Heinz when referring to these crooks. And we will be referring to them alot the next few weeks.

You'd think the msm would have connected the dots by now. But there's NO questioning where the drunken THK's money goes. There's NO questioning the connection between the Tides Foundation and THK. Nothing.

Nothing. Go figger.

This is a win-win for the Dems. The perps get busted they cry "disenfranchisement" and get away with it. They don't , welp, they have a possibility of stealing Ohio like they tried to steal Florida. Only bright spot is I would highly doubt that a high percentage of these new registrees would actually get up the gumption to vote.

If I was a paranoid type, prone to believing in conspiracies and such:

This is a win/win for the Dems,Commies, Anarchists. If they get away with it they win, if they get caught, other elements can use their own known fraud to call results not to their liking into question.

Prediction: Ohio is going to be the "Floriduh" of this election.

Bush will win, Ohio will be close. Fraud will be rampant. The Dems will have frauded all over the place, but will raise hell and blame the Republicans for refusing to accept fraudulent ballots.

Just watch!

I think you're right. 2000 was an election like any other and it wise up a bunch of Americans, me included. The smell of fraud is already in the air and when the dust settles,,there will be people going to jail...

It won't be tolerated, no matter how hard the MSM tries to spook people about it.

That depends on what the true objectives are. I don't believe this but:
</P>
What if the objective is not this election but the next one? Suppose Bush wins with a clear popular and electoral majority and Kerry concedes. We could see hundreds or thousands of law suits at the State, County, and city levels. What happened in Fla. last time scared a lot of folks. Procedural changes enacted to prevent a repeat could well have made things worse. The true crisis may not present itself until late '07 or early '08 as we approach the next election with many "enfranchisement and equal protection" issues unresolved.

I will take it a step further. Several months ago, Rush Limbaugh on his radio program spoke about how the Soviet Union during the cold war planted "Seeds" in the United States. These "Seeds" have sprung up in the Democratic Party. We are now fighting these "Seeds".

I think it is totally conceivable that the DIM party is trying a litmus test for 2008. I believe they will always be looking for the weasel angle. However, I think the "fool me once" saying holds true for the American people. Whatever is attempted (met with ultimate failure) in the arena of voter fraud for this election will provide lessons for all sides. Contrary to the brayings of the elitists and the MSM, the American people are not totally stupid and really resent being duped...

Just for fun I'll take it even a step further.

I agree with you. What I described is just what I think might be worse case scenario. They concede this election but immediately after a flood of litigation ultimately challenges the integrity of the entire electoral process. G-d save us from the remedy.
