I realize the listeners and visitors to NRANews.com are not necessarily a representative sample of gun owners. But they probably are a good chunk of the folks for whom the gun issue is vital.
And their reaction to Kerry’s hunting trip? Laughter, mostly. In particular, Kerry’s not carrying his own goose struck real hunters as a particularly non-hunterly.

I doubt Kerry actually killed the goose since the action didn't first pass the Global Test.
I don't know who he was trying to impress. The kook animal rights extremists in his base don't like it. The pro- gun crowd saw it as what it was- a ploy. "Can I get me a hunting license here?" Yeah, right.

My six year old step-daughter fishes but she doesn't touch the worms.

My daughter's class was on a field trip nearby where Kerry was hunting. As her bus rolled by them, everyone started waving. My daughter saw Kerry looking at and waving at her and she stuck her tongue out at him! A good little Republican in 3rd grade!

Hey aren't you a hunter? I know you are probably tempted now to vote for Kerry because of his hunting antics. I just wanted to remind you that President Bush is still the guy in case you were having trouble deciding now. I'm sure Kerry dressing up like a hunter was very persuasive to a lot of you.
