Three Kansas City-area residents are accused of voting in both Kansas and Missouri during the fall, 2002 elections.

Federal authorities in Missouri have charged 68-year-old James Scherzer of Kansas City, Kansas, and 39-year-old Lorraine Goodrich of Prairie Village, Kansas, with registering to vote in Missouri. They're accused of using bogus addresses.

Officials in Kansas charge 67-year-old Leslie McIntosh of Kansas City, Missouri, with registering to vote in Kansas. He allegedly used the address of commercial property he owns in Wyandotte County.

If convicted, each person would face up to five years in prison and $250,000 in fines. The charges are part of an increased focus on election fraud as this year's general election nears.

But if the RATs have it their way, they'll still be allowed to vote while they're locked up.

Only if they're Democrats.

Nope, sorry.
Anyone committing vote fraud should face the full punishment allowed by the law.

To me it's the same as stealing, and I HATE thieves!

The most effective deterrent to fraud in the current campaign would be if these people were marched out in a high profile perp walk before the cameras of the TV media.

Hopefully the Att. General in this state is media savvy.

I guess my problem with all of this.....they found voter fraud, but, did their votes still count? This is after the fact. How do we prevent fraud votes from being counted in the first place?
I think it was in South Dakota......didn't enough fraudulent Indian votes defeat Thune last time? But, they weren't subtracted somehow, and Johnson got in anyway? Just makes me angry.
