68,000 voters registered in at least two states, one of them being Florida.
The Sentinel only checked against rolls in Georgia and N. Carolina...imagine how many there would be if all states were cross-checked.

Think this was originally pointed out by the NYT.....Glad to see it getting some coverage.....Maybe a few people will think twice about double voting if they know the authorities are on to them.

It should be with a cross check of ID and Social Security number. Perhaps voters should have to keypunch into a computer tied to a national database of voter registration. I voted yesterday in Kansas. They did ask for my Drivers Licence to verify my name and address. This should be mandatory in all states.

Do you think anyone will be prosecuted for registering multiple times? Or voting multiple times? I guess the political season has gotten me into an extremely cynical mood, but I doubt anyone registering and voting multiple times will get anything more than a pat on the back...especially if they vote Demoncrat.

If Bush wins this, that has to be the first thing we do.. especially if we pick up some seats in the Senate and House.

My state, Chicago, also asks for ID....this helps...but for main in ballots ..there is just too much room for error!

"WE ARE going to have to get Voter IDs and make changes for next elections"I'm profoundly angry that this wasn't cleaned up after 2000. These problems were foreseeable.
