police officers on the scene scrambled to contact the homeowner at work, Yeshitela and others from the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement tore the dummy down.
Something is wrong with this picture...were the po-lice a little intimidated or overly PC? Why no 'cease and desist' or on-the-spot arrests?

I don't particularly like the guy down the street Christmas display every year with the lighted reindeer mating, but he has the right to do it.

That's funny, I thought the Dems only went after the
dead.
I guess they're branching out to register the undead!

Check this:
As the Uhuru members [finished their act of vandalism and] left the property, St. Petersburg police Sgt. Glenn Stofer approached them and took their names, but did not arrest anyone.
... "They were rightfully upset," Stofer said of the Uhuru members.
This is the kind of crummy police they have in St. Petersburg. A rioting mob can trash your property, and this mall-cop slug sides with the mob.
Bad cop. No donut.
How much you want to bet that this goon Omani Yeshitela (who says in the article that his right to be happy and not be offended trumps anybody else's private property rights) has a rap sheet? How much you want to bet that several members of his Uhuru movement are felons who are not supposed to be associating with other felons?
But hey, this is St. Petersburg... we have Glenn Stofer on duty, he's soft as a microwaved marshmallow on crime, but pure hell on people who offend the thin-skinned.

Gees, Halloween is not exactly a Christian holiday, yet the PC CommuNazis find a way to get offended. First Christmas and now Halloween. What next, St. Patrick's Day and Thanksgiving. WTF?????????

There's someone with a display just like this in my town. Unfortunately, they live right next door to the church, so the first thing you see coming out of mass is a body swaying in the wind.
Luckily, though, we're not a town full of tight-a***s.

Thanksgiving is next on the P.C. list. It promotes hate against turkeys.

OH...that explains everything. They were saving an "alien" life form according to the prime directive.

Tearing it down is vandalism. I hope these 'sensitive' types are arrested.

This blows big time. And WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO STOP ALLOWING THESE weener whiners from "dictating" change. Halloween is as most of us know from our own childhood experience, has nothing to do with hate or worshipping satanism. It was and is about being silly, dressing up, cutting loose with friends and kids collecting candy from their neighbors. -----------------------------------------------------------
To the Commie Bas$&%ds out there! Trick or Treat THIS! The cranky neighbors who call the police deserve a special delivered treat, one bag left on their front porch.
