The narcissism and desperation angles both appear to be accurate. But do either of you (or anyone) think that Kerry believes any of his fabrications, or does he just believe he gets away with it?
I believe that he thinks that he can just get away with it. He thinks that he's smarter than
everyone, how else would he have the utter gall and audacity to say what he says, thinking he can get away with it--thinking in his mind that he succeeds brilliantly in pulling the wool over our eyes? The trouble is, he's too smart by half--in layering lie upon lie, combined with his braggadocious nature--he's woven a wicked, recorded web that is now biting him in his Rice Butt. So now he flails, projects, etc., in his panic on being
discovered.
Too many aspects about his miscalculated lies point to the fact that his every move is CONCIOUS, PREMEDITATED, and CALCULATED. Witness the little things that take on greater meaning in assessing his mindset, like the "Can I get me a hunting license here?" remark. It spoke volumes.
I think, in short, he suffers from great self-felt inadequacies that go WAY back from his odd childhood.
