Excuse?
These are legitimate factors that have affected the population. If all you can respond with is that it is an "excuse", you choose to disregard-
1) MSM attempts to dilute and distort the messages of Both candidates. For the President, to impact negatively. For the Senator, to project a positive image.
2) Hollywood's perception it isn't "cool" to vote for Bush.
3) The uncertainties natural in war escalated by one Party for political gain, playing to the uncertainty by suggesting the comfortable illusion it could be solved by a replacement in the W.H.
4) A grudge (hatred) that has built for 4 years over the fact their candidate narrowly lost an election.
There are many factors explaining why this isn't a natural election, but it certainly isn't an "excuse". feel free to disregard those factors, though, if it suits you to believe they are incompetent even while up in most MSM polls.

I'm not saying they aren't legitimate concerns (sorry about the double negative), but if the Bush campaign can't beat Kerry with all of the negative material about the RAT Senator, then they deserve to lose the election and we will all be the worse for it.

As nice as it is to see Bush up in the zogby polls, I would put more faith in the other polls that are coming out. I am in a polling and public opinion class and we are currently learning why internet polls have much more potential to be wrong in comparison to the tried and true phone and mail polls.

Me, too. They are the most miserable people in the world. But it feels so comforting to get back to FR. Just like going from pitch black to sunlight.

You stated these factors were "excuses" for the state of the race. I dismissed that allegation with factors that have played a decisive role in bringing us to this point, and maintain the fact G.W. has NOT been brought down to a 20-30% percentile is evidence of the strength of the man and his campaign in the face of near unprecedented opposition.
If we lose this election it won't be because he deserved to lose. It will be because Americans chose to believe a Lie over the Truth.

Gonna be a tough Ramadan at the Zogby house this year...

Uh-huh.
This is an average political year.
Sure.
Good day.

Considering he is operating against a world press, including our own, dedicated to taking him down, with one party more desirous of power than our security, with Hollywood on a bash Bush binge, coming off a tight race in 2000 some Dems have never got over AND forced to make difficult and sometimes unpopular choices since we are in the middle of a war, the fact Bush is doing so well is miraculous.
Add that he is being opposed by Soros and his group of hedge funds who are attacking our stock market and our currency via speculation that is driving up the price of oil while the former allies of Western Europe are arming and supplying the terrorists who are simultaneously attacking the oil supply/infrastructure.
Further add that the polls are being skewed and the vote will be fraudulent.
Just pray that discernment outweighs evil.
