The Great Masquerade October 18, 2004 - As the candidates square off at the pulpit, stark differences come to light. The American people know President Bush to be forthright – a strong and decisive leader who persevered through the most challenging of times. We are exposed to quite a different story when the rhetorical light is shed on John Kerry.
John Kerry’s image, in contrast, remains as fluid as his political posturing for he is completely immersed in an open-ended struggle to reinvent himself and camouflage his questionable past. Looking beyond his self-serving rhetoric and arrogant delivery, one finds the makings of a very determined and dangerous man. Make no mistake, John Kerry poses a greater threat to our civil liberties and national security than any other presidential candidate in recent history.
Considering his liberal voting record in the Senate, it is by no means an accident that Kerry has massed tremendous financial support from the radical, fringe elements of the Democratic Party. Additionally, it should come as no surprise that the leftist-billionaire, George Soros, has pledged millions to the benefit of Kerry’s campaigning efforts. In return for his investment, Soros stands to gain the necessary political clout, in Washington, to advance his socialistic, anti-American agenda.
Consequently, a primary objective of a Kerry-Soros alliance would involve the outsourcing of our national sovereignty to a foreign entity – as exemplified by Kerry’s own words in which he advocated submission for a “Global test.” If elected, Kerry’s judicial appointments would prove even far more menacing by supporting Soros' quest to dismantle our “Constitution” and “Bill of Rights.”
The United Nations is poised to reconvene a summit on small arms control. Their intent is to effectuate a worldwide ban on the private ownership of sporting arms – a concept that has been endorsed by hundreds of anti-gun organizations. Coincidently, it is George Soros who serves as the mastermind and financier behind the global movement for international disarmament.
Kerry represents Soros' “ace in the hole” for he has cast more anti-gun votes than any other Senator on the Hill – a fact that he continues to distort and hide from the voting public. His overall performance, in the Senate, has been dismal at best and plagued by significant absenteeism. Yet, he has never missed an opportunity to further erode our Second Amendment rights and actually broke, from the campaign trail, in support of two anti-gun initiatives. He voted against the first bill that insulated gun manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits arising out of product misuse. His second vote was registered in favor of Ted Kennedy’s proposal to terminate the manufacture and sale of center-fire hunting ammunition.
Bill Clinton attributed Al Gore’s defeat, in 2000, to the “grass roots” efforts of the NRA. Taking a lesson from history, the Kerry camp chose to repackage their candidate as a staunch defender of Second Amendment rights. To broaden his appeal amongst hunters, the Senator has even appeared, in commercials, sporting “blaze orange” attire and posing with the same hunting arms that he has voted to ban.
Following a victory, in November, the real John Kerry would be unmasked and freed to play a pivotal role in supporting the United Nation’s gun-banning agenda. George Soros, Michael Moore and the radical left hope to realize their lifelong ambition – to disarm the citizens of the United States. Before casting a vote, one must consider the ramifications of losing the right of self-defense, during wartime, with several-hundred thousand enemy sympathizers living within our borders. Those who chose to not believe the Senator would betray our citizenry should research the actions he previously orchestrated against his brothers-in-arms. Our nation should not forget that it is Kerry’s portrait that adorns the wall of the communist “War Crimes” museum in Saigon.
Defeating Kerry will send a clear message to George Soros that our nation is not for sale and that we will never relinquish our Second Amendment rights.
