46/46 in New Jersey

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new Fairleigh Dickinson University poll shows George W. Bush and John Kerry tied in New Jersey. Bush and Kerry are each at 46%, with 2% voting for independent candidates and 6% still undecided. An FDU poll on Tuesday had Kerry leading by a 48%-43% margin.

"The Kerry campaign has left the door open for Bush in New Jersey," said Democratic strategist Rick Thipgpen, an FDU analyst. "Despite a state that believes Bush has put America on the wrong track, that Bush has poorly handled the economy, and that he has misled America into a failing military effort in Iraq, the President is running neck and neck with a Democratic candidate in a state that has gone Democratic in the last three Presidential elections and the last three statewide elections.

The FDU poll of 508 likely voters was conducted from Oct. 8 through Oct. 14 and has a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percentage points.

And W will be here in the next few days. This explains why New York City is seeing the first presidential political spots on tv in many many cycles, maybe back to 1968.

I just love political speech. Now to be fair, both sides do this. But I love how loaded this quote is. To summarize, it says, "Despite the fact that this state doesn't like GWB, they like GWB."

The Kerry campaign must be pooping in its collective pants over this. Hard to imagine that they could stoop any lower than they've been stooping recently, but if this kind of trend continues, look for them to get increasingly disgusting in their tactics. It's the only weapon in their arsenal.

I think Bush is going to NJ next week. If we win NJ, we win the race.

NJ it's time to "JUMP INTO THE BUSHES" This would explain Bush's stop he is gonna make there. Looks like they know something we don't.

Excellent. If he comes to NJ, Kerry has GOT to start spending some big time and money there.

I know what you mean about the importation of drugs affecting many people!!!! There was a caller to Rush last week who brought up an interesting theory as to why NJ is in play (besides the 9/11 factor) - There are somehting like 14 pharmaceutical companies in NJ. Together they employ almost a million people. If those two Snake Oil Salesmen get elected and the govt starts importing drugs from Canada and Mexico, every employee of those pharma companies will feel it.

Also, I grew up there and my whole family there is voting for him, as well as all of my friends, even two who are TEACHERS!

Some people do remember 9/11.

Has the quote from Kerry knocking the Italian troops been given play here?
If Bush gets Jersey, watch all y'all.

I read this even worse, that despite how much they dislike GWB, the dislike Kerry even more!

Also, you cannot forget the McGreevy Gay American factor. The Rats are looking really really bad in NJ because of him.
