I am even more bothered by the VP's departure from the President on the constitutional amendment question. Is it too late for Rudy G. to join the ticket? If you are a real Republican, your worrisome shows that you are those that the bibs targeted with this story. Otherwise, you are a libs that try to put doubts in our conservative base. My answer is that Cheney is a very good VP, and he will have my support. PEPIOD.

In a way, I would like to hear how Mary Cheney felt about the remark. I know that would only stir up more controversy, but I bet she's pretty upset with Kerry too and hurt that he was trying to hurt her parents.

"Nonetheless, Kerry Campaign Manager Mary Beth Cahill told FOX News on Wednesday night that Mary Cheney's orientation is "fair game."

"She seems to be very proud and open about her sexuality, her parents seem to be very proud of her," Cahill said. "It comes up, there are a lot of questions here about gay marriage, and she is someone who is a major figure in the campaign. I think it's fair game and I think she has been treated very respectfully."

"...GOP pollster Ed Goeas reported that the undecided focus group he surveyed during the debate on Wednesday night had a very negative reaction to Kerry after he brought up the vice president's daughter, even though they thought he had been doing well up until that point."

She was also on FOX this morning, saying the same thing. I see her mouth move, but nothing of any value somes out, like, if she repeats something often enough, maybe she will begin to believe it herself.

I wonder if her parents are as proud of her as the Cheneys are of their daughter?

This sound very much like dump the veep rumours back in June/July which most of us believe were RAT initiated. Cheney is important to the base support and the RATS know that and want to damage that relationship.

Cheney is an excellent Vice President and great Statesman the RATS fear him and as I said earlier today they also fear his wife especially when she lets rip.

This attack at the Cheneys regarding their daughter is probably aimed as much at Lynne as Dick for she has been more outspoken lately than for a long time. Her biting comments on the trail (see my Post 131) are articulate, amusing and above all stinging. Certainly some of the old Lynne Cheney fire has been evident recently.

This comment of Kerry could back fire big time if he continues to rile Lynne the result will not be a pretty sight.
