Jones told me that Kevin Shelley's office has run out of voter registrations cards. He didn't print enough. Shelley's office has been offering registration cards with Bill Jones' name printed on them.

I had a visit from Republican US Senate Candidate Bill Jones in studio today. We had an interesting conversation about his struggling campaign and the future of California.

One side note, Bill Jones believes his campaign has been heavily damaged by outside Republican candidates treating the state like a political AMT machine. Then discussed John Thune in great detail. Jones believes that Thune has millions of dollars that should have gone to his race versus Barbara Boxer, versus Thune's battle with Tom Daschle.

On the Kevin Shelley scandal, Jones is trying to stay clear of returning to his 'California SOS' days and focus more on his desire to beat Barbara Boxer...but he couldn't refuse getting one shot in on Shelley's operations - or lack thereof!

Jones told me that Kevin Shelley's office has run out of voter registrations cards. He didn't print enough. Shelley's office has been offering registration cards with Bill Jones' name printed on them.

This creates another problem for Shelley; if these forms are going out in the mail, it probably violates BCRA laws of electioneering communications for a federal candidate within 30 days of an election.

Just another violated state, election law by Kevin Shelley.

I have also been investigating Shelley's office when it deals with the federal funded HAVA money. Combine this with Shelley's mishandling of the mandate to oversee some funding and instruction for the military absentee ballots and you have a SOS who is supressing the vote and operating partisan control over federal money and the military vote!

I gave to Jones right after he won the primary but haven't seen much of an effort for a reason to give more. I've received several mailers for Thune sent by the Party so maybe Jones has a case but he's yet to start his campaign. I didn't support Jones in the Primary for just this reason....he's a terrible campaigner.

Jones believes that Thune has millions of dollars that should have gone to his race versus Barbara Boxer, versus Thune's battle with Tom Daschle.

The difference is that Thune has a chance against Daschle.

Boxer will be in office until the day she passes away.

I just sent $100 to the Swift Boat Vets and $50 to Thune, despite being in CA. I would far rather have my modest contribution make a real difference in our country.

Anyone who thinks that Thune will not help me in CA just doesn't understand what another Senator will mean to the Supreme Court battle coming over the next four years.
