We fired Jimy in 2001. The Astros should have stayed away from him.

Bullsh*t.....the sox are full of every day guys who don't worry about looking good, ala Kerry. They represent your beer swilling slobs more than the corporate sell out looking Yankees.

The Astros have that "team of destiny" vibe that the Marlins and Angels had. If Biggio and Bagwell stay hot, watch out. The key is for them is to at least split the first two games in St Louis.

My Daddy isn't the MFY, that's for sure.

We'll have the last laugh. Pedro is rested and pitched in Game 2 against the Angels the way he will in Game 2 of the ALCS, and he would have won that "Daddy" game had he been pulled after 7.

The absolute worst part of a Bosox win would be to have to listen to that ponderous, pompous voice of John F'n Kerry as he bloviates on endlessly about how you gotta believe and how he has been a Bosox fan all his life. Come on, Bosox faithful, admit it. Wouldn't that be enough to turn your stomach?

C'mon! If the Yankees win Kerry will talk about how he knew Mickey Mantle....

I'd like to see it happen.

The best five game series I ever saw was the Astros - Phillies in 1980. You knew whoever won would cruise in the series. I have the same feeling about the winner of the Astros - Cardinals.

Good luck!

Derek Blow is done in Boston and he can take Pedro with him. Nixon signed in the offseason. Varitek is an issue as he's getting up in years and is probably not worth the money he will command. Hell of a guy to have though.

Theo believes in Money Ball...he just has a bigger budget to play with than Billy Beane. Look at what he's done in the two years he's been in Boston and you can't really argue with the results. Last year's team lost in the 11th inning of game 7. Happens. The Yanks turned around and got beat by a low money team with hot pitching. The Sox would have done no better.

Bottom line, both Yankee and Red Sox fans have to suffer rooting for teams in two of the most liberal cities in America.

I'm a Bosox fan in spite of the jackoff Senators who represent the state. I assume that the Yankees fans who post here root for their team in spite of the HUGH jackoffs who represent them....

Bosox fans are setting themselves up for the disappointment of a lifetime. ......disappointment that they seem to thrive on.

Wait a minute, aren't you a San Francisco Giants fan?

Hopefully I'm getting you mixed up with someone else.

We'll have fun. I think I am on the border of Yanks & RedSox country here in CT. Half my office is Yankers, The other half Sox fans.

It's already started.

BTW, I love watching guys who can't play a lick of sports getting all in a huff for their team. Like they say, the bigger the mouth, the bigger the need for a mouth because there ain't much to back it up!
