October 8, 2004 -- JOHN Kerry wants to meet Fox News Chan nel's Bill O'Reilly — on the air, in O'Reilly's "no spin zone.""I'd love to do 'O'Reilly,' " Kerry tells the Oct. 24 issue of TV Guide. "I have no problem with that."
O'Reilly, who interviewed George W. Bush last week, has already extended a similar in vitation to Kerry, but when the maga zine told Kerry about O'Reilly's invite, he said no one in his cam paign told him about it.
"Oh, really? I wasn't aware of that. I like Bill O'Reilly. I think he does a terrific job. I think he's got a very good show."
Kerry said he'd consult his advisers about appearing on the high-rated Fox News Channel show before the Nov. 2 election.
"I'll ask my people what the schedule is. I don't know why I wouldn't. He's a fair interviewer in my judgment."
O'Reilly told The Associated Press he'd been trying for about two months to book Kerry. (Kerry said he was unaware of any invitation.)
O'Reilly said he sensed some internal debate within the Kerry campaign about whether that would be wise.
It would be a trip into hostile territory, at least as far as the audience is concerned.

Kerry has no intentions on going on the BOR show, but he is is pretending by saying that he might to dangle a carrot in front of BOR, so that BOR won't say anything negative about him. BOR is being used.
I suggest we Freep the deal by sending O'Reilly one marshmallow wrapped in a Form 180 with a yellow Post-it Note, inscribed "Fair and balanced--you make the choice."

ABC, say what you will about BOR, he isn't "begging" Kerry. If anything he's been taunting him and his campaign people to come on the air with him. Challenging Kerry to come on his show is not begging.
BOR said on the air many times that if Kerry doesn't come on The Factor it'll cost him the election. (And no, I don't know what's been happening of late with BOR and the Swifties and/or the softness toward CBS. It has been sickening)
