What the heck was a machete doing lying in the yard? The parents need to be charged. There's deadly objects all over anybody's house. The person is the problem, not the object.

I'd be in a pickle here, what with leaving around chain saws, axes, pitchforks, hammers, knives, swords, 6 baseball bats, BB guns, the list is endless.

I agree...........to a point. I've never left a machete laying in my yard, have you?

There are lots of objects all over the place to use as a weapon, but you must admit you don't see machetes out in the front yard of a house very often. I am not blaming the weapon...the parents(?) left it there.
