DRAFT LETTER TO SEND TO THE MEDIA.

FEEL FREE TO CORRECT IF NECESSARY

Dear xxxx,

We're two for two. Tonight, in Cleveland, Vice President Dick Cheney showed real strength and conviction -- he was in command of the facts and in control of the debate and a powerful advocate for President George Bush and The American people saw John Edwards as somebody who is NOT ready, to be president of the United States.

John Edwards is totally out of touch with reality in Iraq and the war on terror and totally out of touch with the struggles of the middle class. His trial lawyerly did not trick the American People. This is nothing new to a man with a lifetime record of enriching himself at the expense of doctors and the American People with higher insurance premiums and to defend the powerful trial lawyers that are well-connected to the democratic leadership. John Edwards came across as smug, arrogant, mean and defensive -- but the trademark of distortions and Flip Flops (actually lies) and tactics didn't work. Vice President Dick Cheney refused to let him play the politics of fear and forced John Edwards to confront his Senate record of failure.

Americans are tired of Kerry's Flip Flops and scowls from this two Senators with null records, and John Edwards and John Kerry offer America no hope and only pessimism.

The Kerry-Edwards campaign is already trying to spin the debate. I am here in Cleveland, right now, working to make sure that doesn't happen. Tonight my job is going to be a lot easier than my Democrat counterparts for three reasons. First, Vice President Dick Cheney s is the right person to remain as vice president, second John Edwards is theirs, and third I know that you are going to join me in this critical fight and deny Kerry the security of our country.

Here is what you can do:

1) Vote in online polls

The Kerry-Edwards campaign has asked their supporters to vote in online polls. Don't let them distort the polls like they distort their record.

CNN

MSNBC

ABC NEWS

CBS NEWS

FOX NEWS

Also check you local newspaper and TV station's websites for online polls.

2) Call into talk radio

Sincerely,

I don't want to appear to stereotype or disparage gays, used car salesmen, guys with southern accents, and coffee drinkers (I'm a coffee drinker), but didn't Sen. Gone look, sound, and act like a gay, southern, used car salesman who didn't know how to drink coffee like one of the guys?

It was devastating for Edwards. I don't know how anyone could Edwards seriously after that... except the folks at democraticunderground dot com are claiming that Edwards "won" the debate.

The RNC needs to follow up the "Senator Gone" point with challenging both Edwards and Kerry to return their unearned Senate salaries back to the treasury as the law requires.

A commercial showing them defrauding the treasury by $500,000 in unearned salaries, Edwards' Medicare avoiding tax scheming and Kerry's 12 percent tax rate would be devastating IMHO.

Edwards repeatedly said Iraq did not attack us. He also said it was the right thing to do to go into Afghanistan.

I wish Cheney would have mentioned how an argument could be made that the Taliban never attacked us either. However that was my only comment on an otherwise complete beating, maybe Bush can use that line. I give him permission

It was a roller coaster night. I was so pumped by Cheney but FOX turned it a Edwards fest. I couldn't believe they were turning into CBS and finally had to turn them off. I've said before that E.D. is going to the dark side but FOX last night was beyond ridiculous. The only saving grace was Hannity and he was fighting it out alone. This morning isn't any better.
