Ever since the run-up to 2000, when I heard cheney speak some, I decided I would MUCH rather have him as president than Bush. He is a real conservative, apparently very competent, appears to be good administrator (who knows), and doesn't mince words.

Unfortunately, in the media age of political elections, he is not electable as president.

Ever since the runup to 2000, when I heard Cheney speak some, I decided I would MUCH rather have him as President than Bush.

I never thought of it that way. I always considered that the two men brought different backgrounds and perspectives to the office, and therefore, they complemented each other. I respect Mr. Cheney very much, but I look at him as more a "behind the scenes" man. Bush, on the other hand, has been on the political battlefield building coalitions. That's part of the presidential process, also.
